Job Description

Seeking a motivated and self-driven sales professional to fill a key role for an Azure, Apps and Infrastructure Solution Sales Professionals (SSP). As an SSP, you will lead a virtual team of technical, marketing, Partner and internal consulting resources to advance the sales process and achieve/exceed quarterly budget targets in your territory. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing new business, building strong business relationships, driving Azure Cloud Services and partner integration. The ability to effectively present to a wide range and size of audiences from IT Pro to CxO to business decision makers is a must.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating and executing a business plan to ensure your product’s revenue and unit goals are achieved.
  • Developing a healthy Azure pipeline of qualified opportunities.
  • Develop in-depth understanding of the platform and related solutions and the value they bring in solving business problems.
  • Ensure appropriate resources are engaged to help customers evaluate Microsoft Windows, Management and Azure solutions.
  • Drive customer and partner satisfaction for your products and solutions. Connect enterprise customers and partners with the product groups.
  • Contributing to the recruitment, engagement and readiness of Partners who can help the Solution Sales Professional drive business.
  • Ensure rapid value realization through robust customer success plans.
  • Team effectively with other sales and technical representatives, Partners, Microsoft Consulting Services and Marketing to meet your goals and customer needs.
  • Understand Microsoft strengths relative to competition and effectively communicate those strengths to customers in a positive manner.

Requirements and skills for this position:

Account Management & Sales Acumen:

  • 5+ years of selling of software (preferably cloud based) solutions to medium or large enterprises or local governments
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise in selling technology solutions to senior business and IT decision makers by reinforcing the value of the technology to the customer’s overall business pain and/or strategic opportunities, including financial acumen.
  • History of holding and consistently exceeding quota - Strong communications, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to articulate the business value of the Microsoft platform and Azure in competitive scenarios.
  • Demonstrated strategic time management and multitasking skills.
  • Effectively manages sales pipeline with predictable business results that exceed revenue targets.
  • High degree of collaboration with multiple Microsoft sales personnel, as well as Microsoft Partners will be required for success.
  • Local government industry knowledge is a plus but not a requirement
  • Effective territory/account management: planning, opportunity qualification and creation, stakeholder and executive communication, needs analysis, value engineering, services/partner engagement, opportunity management, 3+ years experience in pipeline management, large dollar licensing and/or deal negotiation required
  • Executive Presence. Experience and expertise selling to senior business decision makers by aligning & reinforcing the value of the solution to the customer’s overall business pain and/or strategic opportunities and decision criteria.
  • Orchestrate and influence virtual teams to pursue sales opportunities and lead v-teams through influence

Technical

  • Azure Platform. Understanding of Microsoft server products and/or complementing solutions. The position requires the ability to articulate and present the business value of Microsoft's solutions and have a firm understanding of Microsoft's strategies and products relative to major Microsoft competitors preferred
  • Competitive Landscape. Knowledge of enterprise software solutions and application and infrastructure competitor landscape
  • Understanding of partner ecosystems and the ability to leverage partner solutions to solve customer needs.
  • Education: BS/BA degree preferable.
