SPECIALIST DIGITAL FORENSICS LIVE WHAT YOU WILL DO The Specialist Digital Forensics conducts in-depth digital forensic examinations to support internal investigations related to compliance, HR, legal, and other Amgen departments. The Specialist Digital Forensics is expected to perform at a senior and expertise level, applying industry accepted digital forensics principles in acquiring, collecting, preserving, and processing structured and unstructured data per established procedures and protocols. The Specialist Digital Forensics will work independently and be capable of conducting a forensic data acquisition; a non-forensic collection/capture of electronically stored information (ESI) from various file structures and sources; a full forensic examination/analysis; data recovery, and seizure of Windows and MAC-based desktop/laptop computer systems, servers to include AWS, O365, Linux and Files Shares, mobile devices, and related digital storage media; document and report; and be able to provide expert witness testimony for investigations and litigation. The Specialist Digital Forensics must be able to utilize industry accepted forensic tools such as EnCase, FTK, and X-ways and perform large-scale digital forensic examinations to include collection in a live client-server environment utilizing validated remote forensic software such as EnCase® Enterprise Edition and NUIX. WIN WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU Primary competencies include: • Competent in digital computer forensics, electronic discovery, cyber incident response and information security • Knowledge and experience with Windows, Macintosh, and Linux • Firm understanding of: information systems security, network architecture, physical server and desktop architecture, virtual infrastructure architecture, general database concept, document management concepts • Firm understanding of electronic mail systems such as Exchange, GroupWise, Lotus Notes and cloud hosted services • Experience with EnCase, FTK, NUIX, Cellebrite, IEF, etc. • Able to manage multiple projects and maintain a computer forensics lab • Detail-oriented • Ability to interact with other staff and clients, in person or by phone • Critical thinker, problem solver • Mentor • Hold 2 or more industry recognized digital forensic certifications: A+, CFCE, CCE, GCFA, GCFE, EnCE, ACE, CCME, or similar certification • Cyber/network related certifications: (one or more): Network+, Server+, GREM, GNFA, CISSP, CCNA, CCNP, or similar certification • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Ability to create exceptional, detail-oriented, client deliverables • Develops, implements, and sustains operational scripts, data structures, libraries and programming code that optimize security in emergent compute patterns with diverse applications throughout the global environment. • Analyzes, designs, develops and operates programs, shell scripts, tests, and infrastructure automation capabilities in an advanced security context. • Collaborates cross-functionally with analysts, engineers, data scientists to achieve continuous improvement in cyber defense/resilience. Basic Qualifications: Doctorate degree OR Master’s degree and 2 years of Information Systems experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of Information Systems experience OR Associate’s degree and 10 years of Information Systems experience OR High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Information Systems experience Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with scripting and programming languages such as: C#, Java, Python, Pearl, Bash scripting, PHP, etc. • Law enforcement background • Government background • 8+ years professional work experience related to field conducting computer forensics investigations, post incident response, and network forensics • Experience testifying in court, Grand Jury, or other legal proceedings through testimony, sworn affidavits, declarations, or other legal instruments • DevOps experience building and deploying infrastructure with cloud deployment, build and test automation technologies like ansible, chef, puppet, docker, jenkins, etc. • Experience programming in compiled (C, C++) and interpreted languages (Python, Ruby etc.). • Skilled programmer with sufficient experience in high level programming languages such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Visual Basic THRIVE WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT OF US • Vast opportunities to learn, develop, and move up and across our global organization. • Diverse and inclusive community of belonging, where colleagues are empowered to bring ideas to the table, take risks, and act. • Generous Amgen Total Rewards Plan comprising healthcare, finance, wealth and career benefits. • Flexible work arrangements.
