Your essential responsibilities include: Enrich R D E: drive to Build RDE for Residential circuit Breaker (MCB, RCDs) to bring more ownership & Maturity R: Build an Pipeline of Ideas and Poposal for MCB Transformations (Miniaturize MCB, Smart MCB with Energy Meterign and communication) D: Evolve technology maturity of the projects through technical mentoring, reviews and driving on time launch through technical risk assessment E: Cost out through benchmarking, should cost, modularity and standardization projects Product Ownership: Connects, partners and collaborates with cross functional teams across global locations to drive and own engineering decisions for the entiire life cycle of the focused product portfolio Coordinate with Systems engineers, Design, CDP&T, Reliability, Marketing, and manufacturing development teams to produce engineering designs and specifications for new features and enhancements. Demonstrates capability in end to end design & development of Low voltage circuit breaker product line as per marketing requirements Ability to make decisions on new and sustaining product lines towards feature enhancements, maintenance Is able to link to the top level strategy to be able to mature product and technology roadmaps Accountable for providing engineering solutions for field issues, retrofits, etc. Technology & Innovation leadership: Technical capability roadmaps for MCB , RCBO Miniaturization , smart MCB, MCB Automations at Eaton Innovation Center India Leverage / Estalish capability to leverage local eco system for faster execution and digitalization for products and processes Build a strong technical capability - by coming up with Technology Roadmaps for the division for next 2-3 years Generate ideas and innovative solutions which will provide competitive edge to business products. Think creatively and come out with new proposals and present them to stakeholders. Actively participates in paper presentations, tech talks and external university forums. Completed system/ sub-system component sizing, modeling and simulation to meet customer requirements and IEEE standards, especially tank and mechanism design. Research, review, and implement best-practices, new and emerging technologies, and design patterns to new and existing development. Building Organizational Capability Builds awareness about learning industry standards like UL, IEC, CCC, etc. while leveraging our internal codes and standards team to ensure product compliance. Performs other duties as required to achieve departmental and division objectives. This may include flexing to other product line teams Leverage local test labs for testing and validation Develop design guidelines, best practices and lessons learnt documents and shares with peers and team. Qualifications Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering in Mechanical Experience: 15-20 years Minimum 13+ Years of Expereince in designing MCB Low voltage Circuit Breaker Experience working with cross functional teams within and outside organization to drive design objectives in sustaining products Experience through all stages of the prodcut development cycle Experience in short circuit, temperature rise, arc test in accordance with IEC/UL standards Hands on experience in product development leveraging DfX methodology Engineering technical expertise to solve problems and make design recommendations Proficient in CAD and PLM softwares Knowledge in Agile ProLaunch and PreLaunch processes Experience in product costing and analyzing cost break-up due to various manufacturing processes/ design features Experience in test object requirements, plan for assembly and finalize test parameters & instrumentation Knowledge of Electromechanical Systems " Sound technical knowledge in Electromechanical product design for residential circuit Breakers Thorough understanding of IEC / IEEE standards, UL certification, 3D modelling , PLM, ERP system knowledge Extensive experience with product design , sustainance , cost out, agile methodologies Knowledge of sheet metal manufacturing & painting, cabling, assembly processes Excellent verbal and written communication skills,Problem solving skills,Working in ambuiguity, process management Yes!
