You will be responsible for proactively consulting with business and recommend HR strategic solutions to improve critical business outcomes. You will assess and anticipate HR related needs. You will communicate needs proactively with the HR department and business management in order to develop and implement integrated solutions. You will formulate partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. You will also serve as consultant and adviser to business unit leaders in the effective management of their workforce through implementing performance management; organizational design; analysis and implementation; change management; talent assessments; leadership development; and succession planning programs.
You will develop, communicate and administer various human resources plans and procedures for all areas of business. You will communicate and review defined HR Metrics within the assigned business driving to improve results. You will provide feedback and suggest changes to HR Policies and communicate with leaders within the business to ensure compliance and effective communication. You will assist line managers in implementing ongoing performance metrics and development actions for the organization. You will collaborate with leadership and the Talent Management team to create and implement programs to attract, motivate and retain talented and diverse employees. You will review Exit Interview Reports and Turnover Reports monthly for business support and follow up as appropriate. You will also analyze retention issues and make corresponding recommendations regarding training, benefits, compensation, etc.
You will also take responsibility for the internal control environment within your areas of responsibility.
- Appropriate B degree or equivalent (inclusive of HR and labour law);
- 3-5 years relevant HR experience as an HR Generalist within a manufacturing environment;
- Knowledge of collective bargaining;
- Business acumen (Knowledge and understanding of organization system, culture, procedure as well as external and internal business demands);
- Sound knowledge of SA Labour legislation impacting on HR;
- Sound knowledge of human resources principles and practices;
- Interpersonal skills (Relate well to all levels of people internally and externally);
- Business consulting, negotiation and partnering.
