What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will join Amgen’s Digital, Technology and Innovation (DTI) organization and will be responsible for defining and delivering new software capabilities that enable greater commercial access to Amgen’s therapies. The role primarily liaises with partners in the Commercial, DTI, Finance, Accounting, and Trade Operations organizations and be responsible for product capabilities supporting data integration, modeling, forecasting, analytics, and insight generation on Amgen’s Model N, Anaplan, and AWS platforms. As an Agile technologist, you will participate in the full cycle of Product DevOps in a CI/CD environment applying SAFe principles.
  • Developing and supporting technology capabilities to enable Commercial Market Access and Revenue Management business processes using Amgen’s Model N Revenue Cloud, Anaplan and AWS Data Lake implementations.
  • Working closely with cross-functional business and DTI partners to translate, negotiate and influence business needs for revenue management, modeling/forecasting, insight generation and analytics solutions.
  • Evaluating needs, conducting industry research, and helping design and engineer Product capabilities and process workflows to enable integrated commercial contract development, revenue operations, and financial reporting with improved clarity and auditability.
  • Establishing and maintaining system capabilities and governance to ensure data integrity across the connected system landscape that is subject to audit and compliance requirements.
  • Leading the full lifecycle of product features applying SAFe principles from Product visioning through DevOps.
  • Driving task and process automation across teams, systems and business operations.
  • Support project management, planning, resourcing (both internal and external), prioritization, and funding for Product capabilities.

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate Degree

OR
Master’s degree and 3 years of Information Systems experience
OR
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of Information Systems experience
OR
Associate’s degree and 10 years of Information Systems experience

Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Information Systems experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with architecting and developing cloud-based data hubs and integrations applying AWS, Databricks and Mulesoft
  • Development experience with data query and ETL tools
  • Experience with developing technology solutions for financial modeling and forecasting using planning software/tools is strongly preferred
  • Development and support experience on Anaplan is a strong plus
  • Proven experience in a cloud-based -computing environment and using scripting languages such as Python, R!
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Apps or Excel is a strong plus
  • Experience with Contracting Revenue Management platforms such as Model N or Revitas is a plus!
