Specialist Material Costing (Temporary)

Purpose:

Responsible to maintain a comprehensive Costing Materials information system that supports and facilitates adidas Group brands in pursuing the best price value on the market for all their materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain an effective and efficient material price communication tool and/or system (currently is PDM and PLM) to ensure accurate seasonal material costs are available to the LO Costing personnel, factories and HQs based on the required calendar.

• Supports Materials Team on all information regarding costs and prices

• Support Material Expert to negotiate material prices based on material consolidation opportunities and/or project priorities.

• Generate various materials Costing report on project basis.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

• Multi Lingual

  • Fluent Spoken and Written English (Required)

  • Basic Spoken and Written Ability in one or more of Asian languages (Optional)

• Influencing Skills and interpersonal skills to effectively operate in a matrix organisation

• Strong analytical skills and proven ability to effectively use systems for data analysis and reporting.

• Self starter that continuously looks for improvement with limited supervision

• Some technical experience and knowledge of materials construction and manufacturing methods helpful (industrial engineering or development experience).

• IT-skills (e-mail, MS Office, Excel, Access, PDM/PLM/SIM/ILS a benefit).

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in a global business setting.

• Good sense of integrity.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

• University or College degree

• 2 years Costing experience in footwear manufacturing is a plus

• Excellence on MS office

• Fluent English written and verbal communication
