This position shall provide technical ability / support to GFS Reporting & Analysis and accountable for the provision and delivery of accounting and finance related business solutions and improved finance functions/activities via process enhancement and automation, relating to GFS services to AIA Group of entities in accordance with applicable accounting & regulatory policies, standards and guidelines.

Job Description :

Outsourcing Migration Project

  • Assist in the walkthrough with business partner to identify the outsourcing scope with the consideration of alignment towards GFS standard business processes during initial phase of outsourcing scoping
  • Assist in understanding business partner's business process and needs during whole project lifecycle
  • Undertake the knowledge transfer activities with business partners to fully grasp the knowledge of end-to-end processes stipulated in outsourcing scopes in accordance with GFS project migration strategy
  • Prepare high quality documentations on the new processes outsourced as per GFS documentation standards as well as policies and guidelines of AIA Group
  • Ensure smooth transition from project mode to BAU mode after project go-live and provide support to BAU team during hyper-care period.

Process Improvement & Automation Project

  • Coordinate with GFS – R&A sub-units and perform data gathering by identifying, studying, understanding operational pain points and analyzing the business requirement and current process to identify improvement areas and recommend scope of simplification, enhancement, reengineering or automation with consultation with Group.
  • Assist in providing preliminary assessment on system capabilities against business requirements with consultations with SAP COE solution architects or external solution providers.
  • Gather necessary information and coordinating request for Proof of Concept (POC) to the technical team.
  • Responsible to understand Business Unit’s current processes, analyse process, design robotic process effectively to achieve its optimum level of automation, develop solution design document and obtain agreement from all stakeholders
  • Assist in identifying relevant key stakeholders and planning on project timelines.
  • Assist project committee in assessing quotations from external solution providers so they are in line with requirements and AIA standards.
  • Perform UAT on the business solutions, implementation monitoring, knowledge transfer and provision of post-implementation support.
  • Participate in group-led investment/finance projects impacting GFS operations, including requirements gathering, UAT, implementation, knowledge transfer and post-implementation support.
  • Provide ongoing support and expertise in day-to-day GFS operations, including troubleshooting and issues resolution.
  • Provide support to the team leaders of GFS sub-units and team members for BAU activities where required, including during month end closes and surges in volume.
  • Maintain high quality of documentation for projects / enhancement and in accordance with GFS Business Process Manuals.

Job Requirements :

Education:

  • Degree in Accounting/Business/IT, or equivalent
  • Pursuing Internationally Recognised Professional Process Improvement Qualification (Lean Six Sigma etc) or SAP/ RPA Certification is an added advantage

Experience:

  • 3+ years accounting/financial system or relevant work experience with a multi-national/consulting firm and/or prior experience in any process improvement projects.
  • Experience in a shared services or similar environment, identifying areas for process simplification, enhancement, and automation to undertake process improvement projects in relation to accounting and finance services 
  • Experience in a shared services or similar environment, executing outsourcing migration projects in relation to accounting and finance services

Specific Business Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge in process improvement and automation in accounting and finance is an added advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting and finance
  • Basic Knowledge of various SAP Modules (FICO, BI, BPC) would be advantageous
  • Knowledge in VBA/Macro
  • Basic knowledge in these areas would be an added advantage:
  • Robotic Processing Automation (RPA) and other Artificial Intelligence tools in the market.
  • Workflow Automation (WFA) such as Microsoft Power Platform
  • Cloud Platforms

Others:

  • Innovative with critical thinking, strong presentation, interpersonal and communication skills, as well as training technique.
  • Good documentation writing skills
  • Excellent self-motivation & demonstrate basic leadership skills
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to participate and facilitate group meetings
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with excellent MS Excel skills
