Job Description

What You'll Do:

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing input, with an emphasis on operational terms, payment terms and customs/taxation requirements, into the domestic purchase and/or sales and other related activities at the contracting stage .
  • Identifying and evaluating potential operational issues prior to execution that may arise from the different contractual terms between domestic purchase and domestic sales contracts and propose resolutions to mitigate such operational risks.
  • Responsible for the post-contracting coordination of the sales operations activities for domestic purchase and domestic sales contracts and ensure smooth execution of shipments and deliveries.
  • Independently coordinate and arrange all necessary activities associated with Sales Operations and fulfillment of contracts obligations including but limiting to  import license  applications, processing custom duties and import Value Added Tax (VAT), customs clearance/declaration and import/export formalities, issuing Final settlement invoices and Debit/Credit notes for Laytime calculations, , warehousing storage arrangement for domestic purchase and/or domestic sales.

  • Managing internal and external supplier and customer communications and deliver high service level in terms of supplier and customer relationships, logistics requirements, documentation requirements and ad hoc reasonable requirements.

  • Executing sales operations activities in alignment with Group Policies and Standard Operating procedures (SOP).

Qualifications

What we're looking for:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in international commodity operations and domestic logistics environment.
  • Transactional and operational knowledge of sales operations for Imports and domestics trades in China, delivery terms or documentation requirements (bills of lading, cargo release) and VAT invoice generation.

  • Experience with sales operations, trading and logistics experience, Bonded/ domestic warehousing experience, preferably in the Iron Ore or a bulk commodity (key focus).

  • Knowledge of Iron Ore or other Bulk Commodities is preferred.

  • High level of commercial acumen, good numerical, analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Good communication skills written and verbal in both Mandarin and English
