Job Description

The role of Technology Steering Specialist within the Assembly Department consolidates the duties of planning, steering and reporting of all financial elements of the department, incl. headcount with the goal to steer the technology to achieve targets through effective human resource planning, as well as financial and long term tactical and strategic planning/production planning steering.

You will be the representative in financial & workforce rounds inside and outside the department and agree the budget/invest and special budgets with the technology. Furthermore, the Specialist Technology Steering is in close contact & coordination with FC (Financial Controlling) and HR (Human Resources) to align technology requirements. 

You will also be responsible of ensuring standards and best practices are met, whilst creating efficient working structures with new scenarios and options. You'll be the decision maker on decisions relating to creation and implementation of the new approach to the relationship between industrial engineering, production optimisation, production steering and production within within teh department.

Responsibilities:

  • Forecasting of annual budget for all departments within the technology assembly and final agreement with management and controlling.
  • Revision of forecasts during the year under consideration of current performance and future demands.
  • Steering and review of invest and budget performance within the technology assembly to ensure target achievement in close alignment with higher management.
  • Preparation of relevant documentation for management decisions regarding budget/invest allocation.
  • Alignment of project and structure invest for new model projects and SBWE with central steering in Munich.
  • Planning and preparation of the evaluation-runs (PWS) and analysis orders, consolidation of the data, calculation of Assembly costs and consumables for all models.
  • Regular reporting of KPI within the Target Management System (ZMS) on performance of the technology assembly, such as budget, Invest, Scrap, etc.
  • Agreement of premises in projects and series (e.g. for assessment runs and analysis orders).
  • Management and Reporting of the technology internal purchasing process.
  • Asset Management in close alignment with FC.
  • Regular review and optimisation of internal processes ensuring sustainable structures within the department.
  • Reporting and steering of day to day manning of direct headcount.
  • Analysis of long-term production programme and evaluation of workforce requirements within the technology.
  • Close alignment with HR and FC to plan fluctuations in headcount, secure funding for business work force requirements, incl. management of external resources.
  • Preferrably Bachelor Degree or higher in Accounting, Business related or similar field or experience in Engineering and Production Background. 
  • Knowledge of Management system
  • A high degree of knowledge of strategic management and business planning.
  • Ability to build strong network.
  • Highly developed interpersonal / communication skills.
  • Ability to present / influence at all levels.
  • Project and budget management skills.
  • A high degree of IT literacy.
  • German Language desirable however, not essential.
  • Ability to influence and motivate on different leadership levels
