Specialist, US Benefits Implementation (12-Month Contract)
The Benefit Implementation Specialist is responsible for three critical initiatives:
- Assisting with implementing Accor’s US benefits into Ceridian Dayforce benefit module and effectively integrating employee data and deductions to Dayforce Payroll.
- Assisting with implementing Accor’s Canada benefits into Ceridian Dayforce benefit module and effectively integrating employee data and deductions to Dayforce Payroll.
- Assisting with benefits department reset initiative

What you will be doing:
Implementation Initiative
- Partners with Ceridian configuration team to clarify any property policies or rules defined in the property’s discovery workbooks
- Assists properties by auditing benefit data prior to Ceridian loading data into testing and production sites
- Hosts the weekly testing calls with the properties - answering questions on the scenarios & testing, troubleshoots issues and assists properties with fixes
- Develop detailed UAT scripts & works with the Ceridian team to resolves configuration and back end solutions for issues found during UAT and payroll parallel testing
- Consult with implementation lead on benefit issues such as properties that lag against timelines
- Provides first-line support to properties as they proceed through their first 2 “go-live” pay commits.
- Build out SOPs, Job Aids and Process Maps
- Identify areas of opportunity and strategies on how to implement changes
- Ensures properties actively work toward clearing outstanding implementation issues to transition from implementation to “ongoing support”
Benefit Reset Initiative
- Act as a liaison between the health and benefits consulting and administration teams on issue resolution with respect to assigned clients.
- Support management to develop, implement and continuously improve administration processes, policies, and tests for use both internally and externally
- Invoicing process overhaul
- Provides analytical and technical support in plan design, financing, delivery and on-going management of medical, dental, life and disability programs
- Provide regular updates and manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external
- Researching and investigating issues, providing timely and professional responses to the customers using AON Hewitt best practice principle
Your experience and skills include:
- 3-5 years’ experience in US benefits a must
- Implementation experience a must
- US payroll experience is preferred
- Experience using payroll and HRM systems – Dayforce experience a definite asset
- Understands and has experience with US Medical plans, rates, tiered covered, plan options etc
- Experience using MS Excel to combine, integrate and review data - comfort with the xml format a definite asset
- Ability to learn systems and processes quickly
- Exceptional time management and project management skills
- Proven ability to effectively lead and implement benefit module across the organization
- Proven ability to build relationships, interact and influence others
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Superior customer service skills
- Proven track record in a fast paced, multitask environment
Your team and working environment:
- Based at the North & Central America Regional Office in Toronto, Ontario or Home Based in Canada or the US, this position is part of a new Project Implementation team.
