Job Description
(Sr.) Alliance Project Management Manager mission is
- Work with development functions in Lilly and external partners to facilitate (lead) Lilly delivering drug development in alliance projects on time, on budget, within scope with quality standard and meet corporate priority and successful partnership with external.
- Responsible for analyzing information in complex, and ambiguous situations, and making recommendations to Alliance Management Manager and Senior management regarding drug development strategy and implementation.
- Work with development functions in Lilly and external partners to facilitate (lead) delivering drug development in alliance projects on time, on budget, within scope, and with quality and meet corporate priority and successful partnership with external.
- Engages cross functions to align the molecule / indication strategy (including life cycle plan) for China.
- Facilitates (leads) the alignment with partner for China clinical development plan and subsets of the plan including scope, budget, timeline, quality and risk. Translates the development strategy into operational objectives and monitors performance to the plan.
- Facilitates (leads) delivery of project milestones on time, on budget, within scope, and with quality.

Analyze information in complex, and ambiguous situations, and making recommendations to Alliance Management Manager and senior management regarding drug development strategy and implementation.
- Facilitate governance management, decision-making, structure, conflict management/problem solving and roles & responsibilities
- Develop partnership interventions to increase teamwork/trust between Lilly and its partners
基本资格要求
- Experience working in an alliance or similar environment
- Deep expertise in the development of a pharmaceutical product
- Pharma/biotech industry knowledge required such as the product development process, marketing and sales, business development
- Highly developed analytical skills – a strong mix of financial, development, commercial
- Excellent Judgment – regarding the “how”, “what”, and “when” of addressing alliance partners and key stakeholders with sensitive issues
- Public Speaking – must be able to address and persuade key stakeholders to make decisions and follow a set course of action
- Deep understanding of how Eli Lilly and Company operates and who to call to get help solving complex problems
- Excellent writing and communication skills – the ability to distill complex ideas down to a few pages of written material to fuel senior level decision making (experience writing policy committee presentations a plus)
- Polished constructive confrontation skills – must be able to confront senior leadership on both sides of the alliance without “stepping-over-the-line” and offending, while still getting the opposing message through
- Ability to work across cultures – both corporate and national cultural boundaries
- Demonstrated comfort level working with ambiguous data
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and cooperate and collaborate with all levels of an organization
- Highly developed meeting facilitation skills
- Significant mediation skills for group or individual interactions
- Strong Project management skill

- Familiarity with Lilly’s partnering process
- Previous experience with one of Lilly’s key partnerships
- Traveling to visit partners is a critical part of the job and a candidate must be willing to spend from 10 to 25 % of his/her time away from Lilly China Office.
