Our location in Lake County, IL currently has an opportunity for a Cybersecurity Metric and reporting analyst. The Cyber Metric and Reporting role is responsible for reporting and providing context on cybersecurity metrics for key stakeholders of Abbott. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Analysis of KPIs, key risk indicators (KRIs) and security postures will provide snapshots of Cybersecurity performance. Utilizing reports provided by this role will feed into prioritizing future projects. Metrics will provide quantitative information for leadership and our Abbott business related to the Cybersecurity teams progress to protect and secure of sensitive information. Evolve the metrics program, develop and socialize ECS risk for awareness and mitigation and establish global, holistic and meaningful metrics

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver Cybersecurity key metrics
• Partner with IT teams to gather information to report on metrics related to but not limited to:
  • Level of preparedness
  • Unidentified devices on internal networks
  • Intrusion attempts
  • Security incidents
  • Mean Time to Detect (MTTD)
  • Mean Time to Resolve (MTTR)
  • Mean Time to Contain (MTTC)
  • Abbott’s Security ratings
  • Average vendor security rating
  • Patching cadence
  • Access management
  • Company vs peer performance
  • Vendor patching cadence
  • Mean time for vendors incident response
• Report aligned metrics to IT leadership, Business Leadership and Business Divisions.
• Create Executive level summaries of key information to drive business decisions
• Identify key data required by business units
• Highlight wins
• Identifies areas of opportunity and improvement within processes and tools based on reporting results and tool environment and reports to Cybersecurity Office.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Minimum Experience: 

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience
• Power BI (related platforms)
• Creation and Management of Dashboards

Preferred Experience:

• Strong analytical ability
• Demonstrated ability to successfully manage competing priorities & deliverables in a fast-paced, dead-line oriented environment
• Working Knowledge of Info Security industry Frameworks (i.e., NIST, etc.)
• Design and implement a data quality mgmt. framework for info security metric
• Analyze data to identify key issues, trends and observations
• Highly proficient with MS Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
• Highly organized and detail oriented
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills
• SQL knowledge
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Proven ability to multi-task
