This position is tasked with two main functions: First, the RIA Internal Investment Consultant is responsible for database management, identifying and demarcating high opportunity RIA firms and decision-makers at those firms to whom to market the holistic array of investment management solutions BNY Mellon Investment Management offers. Secondly, the Investment Consultant will assist the Senior RIA Investment Consultant in field sales and relationship management activities. These activities will include booking WebEx and in-person meetings and conference calls, emailing monthly and quarterly product updates, and follow-up communications with RIAs. Responsibilities will evolve to include the ability to communicate (via written and verbal skills) our competitive advantage and positioning of BNY Mellon Investment Management’s investment strategies. The position may involve some travel in the field. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required. 2+ years of experience in financial services (preferably in Sales). Ability to remain organized, focused and persistent while executing a sales campaign from start to finish, including proper follow-up Ability to understand the nuances of the fragmented RIA market, including the RIA’s needs based on its unique business structure Passion for the global financial markets, willingness to become fluent across investment solutions and asset allocation techniques, and a desire to develop general investment acumen Willingness to be part of an entrepreneurial team and the ability to succeed within a dynamic, relatively autonomous environment Strong organization, communication and presentation skills FINRA licenses preferred BNY Mellon is an Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
