Job Description
The primary role is to support the Global Eaton Business for Materials Management & Analytics Processes. This individual will support the Global Materials team and Eaton sites for business process improvement and projects in the area of materials management. The scope is further extended to taking new transitions, developing new supply chain processes and horizontal deployment of best practices. The role will primarily focus on Materials Management but shall also encompass aspects of overall Operations Management for Industrial Manufacturing. The individual should have good general understanding of Materials Management with deep understanding of Supply Planning and Inventory Management concepts. Person has to deal cross functionally with multiple functions including planning, sales, production, finance and leadership team. Qualifications • Demonstrate strong functional knowledge & working experience related to materials management & detailed understanding of concepts related to supply planning, replenishment planning, MRP/ material planning & inventory performance measures like ITR & DOH • Enhance & support the materials management initiatives and possess a good understanding of P2P cycle,. supply planning concepts, inventory management concepts and ERP system lanscape. • Work on on materials management processes and drive improvement projects with a consultative approach • Project management expertise with experience of driving improvement project in area of materials management in a cross functional, global environment. • Responsible for sharing with the team, best material management practices, continuous improvement of process, development of process standards, compliance with materials planning processes, and reporting in alignment with the regional and global supply chain organization • Excellent communication & presentation skills to work with global, regional & local materials management teams across the plants and divisional entities. • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems preferably one out of SAP/ Oracle/ Mfg Pro • Work on developing standard work in co-ordination with cross functional teams to deliver high quality, prompt material management analytics/reporting services. • Support various analytical requirements from materials management & inventory analytics like development of replenishment methods (Min-max, ROP, Safety stock), past due reduction & excess & obsolete inventory reduction and control. • A team player with willingness to work across multiple cross-functional engagements and learning agility towards adoption of digital tool and technologies. • Comfortable in working across multiple geographies and global stakeholders • Preferred understanding of big data concepts, visualization tools and query languages like data lake, cloudera, powerbi, SQL etc. Eaton is an intelligent power management company dedicated to improving the quality of life and protecting the environment for people everywhere.
