We are seeking a highly motivated individual for the Associate Supply Chain Buyer role reporting to the Supply Chain Manager and located in Singapore. The The Sr. Associate Planner/Buyer position will be responsible for the management of suppliers, material procurement, planning and lifecycle management at ASM (Amgen Singapore Manufacturing).

SPECIFIC RESPOSABILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Supplier Management

- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure investigations regarding materials are closed on time and ensuring effective corrective actions are put in place to prevent recurrence.

- Managing suppliers to ensure key performance indices are met and expectations are met.

- Participate in the development, implementation and monitoring of supplier partnership programs.

Material Procurement

- Monitor, assess and revise targeted inventory levels in conjunction with changes in demand/supply variability.

- Coordinate expedition of material release to prevent/alleviate inventory shortages and material scrap exposure.

- Maintain Purchasing’s record database (SAP System) integrity and maintain purchasing documentation to cGMP standards.

- Monitor and coordinate scrapping and returning of goods.

- Resolve discrepancies that arise from purchase orders, impacting areas such as Receiving and Finance.

Material Planning and lifecycle management

- Develop material inventory plans, including managing material transition analysis and execution

- Release forecast and orders to suppliers, analyzing, consolidating, and reporting supply and demand to the various stake holders in the company.

- Interact with Manufacturing, Process Development and Engineering to develop specifications for new equipment and materials.


 

Other Duties

- Ownership of Non-Conformances, CAPA’s, and/or Change Controls.
- Track and analyze monthly performance metrics for adherence, accuracy, cycle times and inventory investment. This includes understanding and contributing to the team’s performance board, and presenting the board to management.

- Support global, site, and department continuous improvement efforts.
- Collaborate cross functionally with Manufacturing, Facilities & Engineering, Process Development, Quality Control, Global Strategic Sourcing, Warehouse, and vendors to ensure alignment with demand requirements and available inventory.
- Perform special projects to identify cost saving opportunities

Basic Qualifications

• Degree in Microbiology, Biological Sciences, Life Sciences or related technological field OR
• Diploma and 3-4 years of Supply Chain/Business Analyst or directly related experience
 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong planning skills and familiar with key supply chain concepts
  • Ability to tactfully and effectively influence and negotiate to resolve issues and gain consensus.
  • Working knowledge of cGMP guidelines.
  • Ability to multi-task and function in a dynamic environment.
  • Be a team player and a self-starter who is capable of growth and increased responsibility.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and teach new ideas
  • Fundamental project management skills.
  • Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including technical writing
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Tools including Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
  • Experience with SAP, Maximo and other ERP systems
  • Ability to read engineering drawings will be a plus
