Position Description:
Working under minimal direction and exercising considerable latitude, provides
technical expertise in developing solutions to complex software engineering
problems, which require frequent use of ingenuity and creativity. Works
directly with suppliers and partners to establish and implement high value
solutions for the markets served by the Lenovo Enterprise Product Group.
Provides work leadership to others. Interfaces with senior management to
provide and obtain information and to build consensus regarding project
direction. Assignments may include new products as well as upgrades, and
enhancements or fixes to existing products.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Writes functional detailed specs as well as responding to requirement
documents and system level test plans
• Significant contributor to organizational goals and objectives
• Interacts cross functionally on matters that require coordination across
organization lines.
• Provides mentoring, guidance and oversight to partners and internal
execution teams
• Collaborates well with other engineers and other engineering groups,
voluntarily shares information.
• Offers proposed design changes/suggestions to processes and products, exerts
significant latitude in determining objectives of an assignment.
• Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives, without
appreciable direction.
• Develops new software engineering methods or processes, re-evaluates
existing processes.
• Analyzes and code complex modules, define data structures, and specify
tools.

Position Requirements:
• Solid knowledge of UEFI framework/development
is required
• 7+ years of experience in firmware or embedded software development.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++ and x86 assemble language
• Solid knowledge of computer architecture, x86 architecture, current I/O
protocol architecture, ARM/MIPS support a plus
• Experience in platform security technologies and standards
• Experience with current and trending OS enablement features
• Ability to influence others to achieve results
• Good communication & presentation skills
• PMP certificated or 3+ years project management experience is preferred.
• Good English and Chinese language skills
• Strong team player, ability to be working in a global team (US and China)
• Results driven and self-motivated
• BS in Electrical or Software Engineering; Master preferred
