Eaton’s Power Systems division is currently seeking a Sr. Buyer Distribution Center to join our team. This position is based at our Queretaro facility.

The Sr. Buyer Distribution Center is responsible for provides parts and materials by developing sources of supply and monitoring supplier performance; obtaining required parts, verifying receipt of items, authorizing payment, and managing and controlling inventory. Setting the Purchase order for the 3rd Party sales, follow and Posted Sales to customers. Responsible for the Indirect raw material for the Distribution Center, by release purchase requisitions and release Purchase orders to suppliers. Follow the complete purchasing process flow.

Some activities related with the position will be:

• Complete purchase requests with domestic and international suppliers by inputting purchase orders, expediting deliveries, and verifying all transactions.
• Act as a liaison between suppliers and involved departments to resolve procurement related problems.
• Maintain accuracy of Material and supplier master information and PIR, including lead-time, pricing, current supplier information, current purchase order data, etc.
• Monitor supplier performance by ensuring that product is delivered as scheduled and meets specifications; maintaining appropriate files and records of meetings with suppliers to ensure company requirements are met and that supplier is aware of their performance.
• Define strategic purchasing plans and to maximize savings and reach company goals.
• Negotiate prices, delivery terms, minimum order quantities, etc. With suppliers too meet company goals.
• Resolve billing and shipping problems related to PIR, price scales, invoice errors, invoice recording errors by A/P, etc. As required.
• Release indirect Requisitions for the Distribution Center, Flex center.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment (high mix, low demand preferred) on a similar position/role
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Administration or equivalent.
• Strong negotiation skills and background for direct material in manufacturing environments.
• 2 years as LOP
• Demonstrated success on COP or similar strategies.

Preferred Qualifications:

• APICS (CSCP) certification
• SAP experience
