Responsibilities include providing support of ongoing process development and business system design initiatives needed to effectively grow the service line across the Thermo Fisher Scientific global network. The role will require adaptive skill sets needed to enable scalable processes as applicable to TTM evolution.
 
What will you do?
 
 

  • Support Total Transportation Management growth strategy and value proposition.
  • Support sales strategy execution to expand customer base and develop new relationships within pharmaceutical supply chains.
  • Review performance against plan with the Global Director, TTM and where shortfalls exist, the incumbent will recommend alternative strategies and tactics.
  • Demonstrates the initiative and intensity necessary to meet or exceed the financial goals of the Total Transportation Management service line.
  • Works with the Fisher Clinical Services, Fisher BioServices, Patheon, and other Thermo Fisher Scientific sales forces as a service line subject matter expert leading the TTM sales effort.
  • Support solution development and sales strategy that best meets the client’s need(s) in order to close business.
  • Actively seeks opportunities to grow the TTM service offering.
  • Model and foster excellent customer service (internal & external) in all functions and responsibilities.
  • Demonstrates and promotes the company and Division’s mission and vision.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of metrics
  • Act as customer advocate and identify resources and capabilities needed to ensure a leading market position for TTM.
  • Support continuous sales strategy improvements in order to expand the customer base and develop new commercial relationships with pharmaceutical supply chain customers.
  • Support the Total Transportation Management value proposition. Listen to customer feedback and collaborate with sales and marketing leadership to ensure the value prop is compelling and accurately reflects our service.
  • Works to ensure new developments are marketable and taught to the broader sales force.
  • Must be able to interact with all levels of internal and client organizations.
  • Consistently deliver on business objectives through operational discipline and continuous improvement by leveraging Thermo Fisher’s Practical Process Improvement Business System
How will you get here?
Education/Experience:
  • BS/BA degree in business or the sciences, advanced degree preferred.
  • 10 years of experience within the life sciences or comparable logistics industry.
  • 5+ years of project/management plus 5 years of customer facing experience.
  • PPI Trained
  • Strong Experience with MS Excel, SalesForce, MS PowerPoint, MS Word
  • Familiarity with clinical supply chain, third party logistics and sourcing.
  • Able to travel at least 10%-25% of the time, including internationally.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Concise writing and public speaking/presentation skills are desirable for data report outs to key stakeholders.

  • Direct experience as a logistics service provider to the Pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
