Team Description: The Common Platform Software Configuration Management (SCM) team based in Brazil is part of the global Motorola SCM team that owns the configuration, architecture, code and all binary artifacts of Motorola products We are involved in all stages of the software development process, from the integration of the base OS (Android Open Source Project + vendor baselines) to the external publication of the Open Source Software (OSS) code Our team also owns the end-to-end build system and the development and maintenance of several internal tools dedicated to software configuration management Scope of Responsibilities: * Responsible for analyzing and publishing Motorola OSS code to the external GitHub repositories and also maintaining Motorola public OSS boards on GitHub (answering questions & providing overall support) * Support Motorola internal software teams build & release processes * Develop and maintain automation and management tools that are used as a development aid for various internal teams * Actively aid in determining the optimal architecture and resources to deliver the required contents of our software platform with minimal engineering resources * Analyze, debug and resolve complex system level issues in real-time #### Position Requirements: Qualifications: * Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science * Prior experience in software development, software configuration management or integration roles * Fluent English and strong communication skills * Self managed, ability to work without close supervision * Strong problem solving skills and programming experience * Strong knowledge of the Android system architecture * Strong knowledge of git, Jira, Jenkins and git-repo * Strong knowledge of Python and bash We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any federal, state, or local protected class.
