Eaton’s Aerospace ITD division is currently seeking a Cost Accountant to join our team. This position is based at our Tijuana facility. The Cost Accountant is responsible for analyzing and understanding manufacturing costs and working with the Controller to provide monthly manufacturing finance summaries to the organization. He/she will play a key role in ensuring that the organization’s manufacturing costs are well understood and communicated, and will also assist with budgets, standard cost rolls, variance analysis and special projects. Some activities related with the position will be: Creates and publishes monthly manufacturing cost summaries, including details on efficiencies, production variances, and special initiatives aimed at decreasing costs. Performs cost analyses for new and existing products, in cooperation with design Engineering, methods, purchasing, planning, and Mfg. Engineering. Works to identify actual vs standard cost discrepancies and drive closure or updates to key ingredients necessary to support accurate costing. Tracks and publishes metrics on costs and inventories. Meets regularly with key stakeholders to review actual to budget variances and facilitates the creation of action plans for bridging gaps to budget. Works with the Controller and IT to design reporting and launch auto-publishing for key performance data. Supports annual plan, long-range plan, and quarterly forecasts, collaborating with a variety or organizational stakeholders to foresee shifts in revenue, spending or capital forecasts.
