Eaton’s Power Reliability Division is seeking a Sr. Custom Assembler to join our team on 3rd shift. The core hours are 11:30 PM - 7:00 AM and the hourly rate starts at $22.31/hr + $1.25/hr shift premium. This position is based at our South Milwaukee, WI facility. This position is offering a sign-on bonus of $3,000*, less applicable withholding. *Bonus terms: Bonuses are being offered for a limited time only. Applications must be submitted on or after January 24th, 2023 to qualify. Bonuses are only applicable to specific job types and shifts; additional terms and conditions may apply. Associates must be employed at the time of the payout. Bonuses will be payable in two installments: $1,500, less applicable withholding will be paid after three (3) months of employment and the remaining $1,500, less applicable withholding will be paid after nine (9) months of employment Why work at Eaton? In this role, you will perform some complicated sub-assembly and final assembly operations, which contain a large number of parts and substantial fitting and aligning of components, usually limited to a specific standard procedure - on a repetitive basis In this function you will: Follow established standard working procedures & instructions including visual operating procedures, drawings, and other building documents Set up a workstation to facilitate easier assembly and operate independently or on a group basis Complete paperwork, enter labor, confirm production and move products to outgoing materials zone Screen defective parts or make adjustments as necessary and report out any concerns to Team Leader or Supervisor Collaborate with QA/Engineering with problem-solving for new product development as necessary and provide suggestions for improvements when appropriate Partner with other departments as needed for advice and suggestions toward continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Must have a high school diploma or GED from an accredited institution. Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of South Milwaukee will be considered. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation. Preferred Qualifications: Experience using SAP Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment Position Success Criteria : Ability to use and operate necessary or required equipment (various hand and air tools & overhead crane/hoists), products, and assembly procedures. Ability to read and use drawings, routings, blueprints, specifications, part numbers, and other shop documents affecting this position. Must be able to walk/stand for an 8 hour shift with or without reasonable accommodation.
