Intel's Client Computing Group (CCG) is at center of this disruption by being a premium extension of Cloud workloads, using open-source technologies prevalent in today's Cloud implementations, and capitalizing on Cloud application development trends such as dynamic workload placement, micro-services, virtualization and progressive web applications (PWA). The Director, Client Distributed Intelligence SW Engineering role in the CDI team will be responsible for leading the product definition and SW execution to realize this exciting vision. The leader in this role will be responsible for managing multiple SW teams, both directly and indirectly, to coordinate the creation of prototypes and production SW. Given the distributed nature of the effort, individuals with broad skills from Client SW to the Cloud are encouraged to apply. This role will require extreme collaboration with groups across Intel for success.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Building a team of passionate SW architects and engineers to execute to the vision.

• Building a learn-fast, iterate-fast culture that thrives on taking informed risks and learning quickly to pivot and improve product execution.

• Working closely with partner organizations across Intel and in the industry to jointly define and execute elements of the Client Distributed Intelligence vision.

• Working collaboratively with Intel's Developer Relations team to create a framework for developers to use the technologies with zero friction and high reuse.

• Instilling and reinforcing SW Engineering best practices for a new and growing team that is responsible for creating products.

 

An ideal candidate should demonstrate:

• A proven track record of building an execution culture and SW best practices.

• The ability to work collaboratively with external stakeholders and representing Intel outside the company.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Computer science, Software Engineering, or Electrical Engineering

• 10+ years of experience in defining and developing SW products for PC Clients and/or data center and edge devices.

• 7+ years of successful experience managing SW engineering professionals. Hiring and performance management experience is a must-have qualification

Preferred Qualification:

• Experience in software engineering, computer architecture, cloud computing, or a similar discipline.

$207,010.00-$330,570.00
