Job Description
The Senior Director, Financial Close and Reporting is a key member of the Siemens Healthineers North America Performance controlling leadership team. The role reports directly to the Vice President of NAM Performance Controlling (NAM PC) and will drive process improvements and synergies. Specific responsibilities include the following: Oversee and direct financial closing process, approve journal entries, and provide first messaging to Management regarding financial results, along with published analytics Lead P&L and Balance Sheet reviews for companies in scope, ensure integrity & accuracy of financial statements and compliance to financial reporting guidelines Responsible for delivery of offline financial data and ad-hoc reporting per global requirements Lead sales flash reporting process and related commentaries Reporting, analysis and reconciliation of Orders and Order backlog, including review and approval of required adjustments Manage in-scope audit activities (internal & external); effectively document and execute internal controls Perform continuous assessment of the financial closing process, drive digitalization & automation opportunities to reduce closing cycle time and improve productivity Manage tax reporting; perform transfer price review & related adjustments with tax experts Keep abreast of changes in financial reporting guidelines and accounting standards; foster best practices in financial reporting, controlling and analytics People development. As a manager, inspire, communicate & lead to attract and retain talent. Provide leadership, cross-training, and coaching to develop team members Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in accounting, audit, or business finance Proven leadership experience in managing a team or complex projects Advanced communication skills to clearly present key issues and recommended actions Ability to take ownership of projects and drive them through to completion Ability to form relationships and collaborate across global matrixed functions Displays strategic thinking in identifying and developing automated solutions to increase productivity and efficiency Deep knowledge of systems and finance controlling required Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is a strong plus Siemens Healthineers has recently announced the next steps in our continued commitment to prioritize colleague health, comply with customer/business partner requirements, and help preserve our business continuity.
