How will you make an impact?
The Senior Director IT, ERP will serve as the head of the ERP layer within the layered service architecture for the Customer Channels Group (CCG). This leader will design, develop and manage the global ERP deployment roadmap including defining the ERP deployment team and support structure, engagement of integrator, ERP vendor and business stakeholders. This is a strategic role in the company and requires a strong leader that can manage a diverse set of business partners and lead geographically disbursed teams.
This leader will report to the Vice President of CCG IT and be liaising with technical and business senior vice presidents and directors in Finance, Supply Chain, and Commercial, as well as developers and operation specialists within IT, and expected to jointly develop strategies as they relate to the ERP investment and deployment roadmap. ERP is a critical layer within the to-be CCG Systems landscape and this leader will be partnering with the leaders who will lead other key components of the layered service architecture. In addition to this, the leader will need to develop excellent working relationships with regional and functional leaders to understand individual country and regional business drivers, and then integrate these requirements into the ERP strategy while closely partnering with the IT shared services organization. This leader should have the business acumen and communication skills to shape, articulate and execute a cohesive ERP business strategy.
This senior director will act as a trusted advisor to local line management regarding technology enablement and innovation opportunities and will partner with IT and business leaders in optimizing ERP and identifying and implementing appropriate enhancement or new technologies.
What will you do?
- Design, develop and manage the ERP layer within the Layered Service Architecture for CCG IT and support the digital roadmap for the CCG business. Responsibilities include developing the following:
- Geographic and business workstream deployment approach
- ERP lifecycle and business process functionality blueprinting
- Serve as the liaison between business process owners, IT and business operations to insure alignment
- Lead business analysis for new ERP functionality to drive synergies in global business process to achieve value and efficiencies in operations
- Coordinate complex projects across multiple departments and regions
- Partner with PMO and analytics leader to adopt the governance within ERP layer
- Partner with the IT Shared Services to design and implement the ERP solution
- Partner with peers within CCG IT to enable the overall digital ecosystem for CCG
- Builds the Master Data Strategy for the CCG business in conjunction with the overall processes around maintenance of master data, supporting the creation of master data governance organization and leading the technology roadmap for the business.
- Partner with CCG IT and the Shared Services IT teams to review different ERP platforms and select the right ERP software for the CCG business.
- Closely partner with the global process organization team to work through the details on the ERP roadmap and sequence key milestones and activities that will logically align with the Layered Service Architecture. Position the platform to mitigate the application obsolescence risks
- Develop the roadmap for the implementation of Master Data Platform. Understand how the platform will fit within the large digital ecosystem of the CCG business. Identify dependencies (organizations, processes, data and systems) that the platform has. Develop and architect those integrations of the platform within CCG systems footprint.
- Partner closely with the Commercial Digital Technologies and Marketing teams to align ERP initiative with e-Business roadmap to support driving digital transformation initiatives across all CCG regions globally.
- Partner with data science and analytics team to ensure alignment between strategy and ERP; ensure accelerated growth of Data Intelligence including predicative analytics to achieve business goals.
- Provides leadership and training to team to expand ERP and related digital toolset understanding; directs training approach for expansion of team’s capabilities and business functional knowledge
- Identifies key performance metrics for ERP value tracking related to business processes improvements; manages the delivery and accountability for the achievement of all ERP change delivery metrics globally
- Reviews and approves project timelines, work plans, design documents and deadlines with the leadership team; develops and maintains valid capacity and major milestone plans.
- Conducts effective leadership team meetings and provides timely status updates to the VP, IT; works with the IT leadership team in setting strategic direction for the CCG IT group.
- Interviews, selects, develops, mentors, coaches and evaluates performance of staff resulting in the development and career progression within the IT organization
- Understanding and prioritization of business functional needs
- Strong collaboration skills working in a matrix organization which includes partnership with multiple organizations to coordinate resource assignments for projects that require multi-team assignment and task completion within established timeline and budget.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field; Masters degree preferred
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- The successful candidate should expect travel 50-75%.
