Job Description Summary

The objective of this role is to actively partner with TGS Business Partners to understand strategic priorites of the organization and engage with Key Technology Vendor and Service Providers to support the build out of technology strategies and plans to enable delivery of core IT services.

 Development and management of technology roadmaps. Responsible for technology lifecycle management of the global infrastructure environment.
 Builds successful stakeholder relationships with other TGS leaders by developing a clear understanding of business needs and ensuring cost-effective delivery of IT services to meet those needs.
 Builds successful stakeholder relationships with key Information Security leaders, to ensure alignment and awareness of security requirements are incorporated and upheld.

 Focus on continuous process improvement and user experience by increasing IT’s value through innovation and emerging technologies
 Introduces innovative, differentiating infrastructure and operations capabilities that enhance our overall competitive capabilities.
 Oversight and management of the infrastructure portfolio.
 Serves on TGS or BD planning and policymaking committees; drives the development of enterprise technology standards, information security standards, governance processes and performance metrics
 Senior level oversight for strategic vendor and partner relationship management and input to sourcing strategies.

 Planning and leadership of medium to large integrated technology projects or programs.

 Serve as a continuous connector. Energized by a role that is focused on partnership and facilitation. Operates through the lens of what can we do to simplify and improve things
 Measure and communicate value realized with the TGS business partners on a periodic basis through defined and agreed upon metrics and supporting analysis

Job Description

The role of the Sr. Director, IT Technology Planning & Engineering is to serve as a senior-level partner, accountable for the development of technology strategies, ensuring infrastructure operations is positioned to enable business capabilities and services across the organization. As a key member of the senior IT leadership team this role brings current knowledge and future vision to support the evolution of our core technology landscape.  The role holder is a senior stakeholder in all relationships with externally sourced infrastructure partners and will align and partner with other TGS Business Partners and Center of Excellence leads to understand the business needs of the Global organization and share new or existing capabilities that can address or improve business operations.
