(Sr.) Electrical Engineer (m/f/d) - System Integration/ Prototyping

am Standort Jena

Your Responsibilities:

• Working with cross-functional teams in efforts related to system requirements definition, system/sub- system architecture definition, requirements and risk traceability

• Applying system integration engineering principles for developing cost-effective and reliable quality systems which satisfy product requirements

• Design, execution, and analysis of appropriate experiments to assess requirements on system and sub- system level, create report

• Define and negotiate design requirement tradeoffs with management as needed  

• Built and lead a small team in execution of system, reliability, risk, usability, and requirements engineering

• Experience in product development with associated consumables and instruments

• Maintain extensive knowledge of state-of-the-art principles, theories, and practices around system integration and reliability engineering related activities

• Conducting and participation in design/project technical reviews

• Development of novel strategies with the aim of having solutions for product development hurdles

• Create and maintain quality records to assess and improve chemistry, instruments and consumables

• Effectively manage the required documentation in accordance with the ISO 13485 certified quality management system

Your Profile:

• A degree in Physics, Bioengineering and/or extensive min. 5 years’ experience in system integration engineering in the Life Sciences/Diagnostic industry.

• successful work record in leading a small interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced product development environment

• Experience in experimental design, documentation, verification and validation.

• Experience of work in an interdisciplinary team

• Exceptional verbal and written communication in German and English to ensure objectives, data, and issues are understood across all relevant disciplines

• Innovative and pragmatic thinking with excellent problem solving and analytical skills

• Great administrative, organizational, and interpersonal skills

• Responds positively to intellectual and timeline challenges

• statistical techniques for design of experiments and data analysis Working knowledge is desirable
