Job Overview  
 
The Telematics and Connectivity team in Mechatronics Engineering works closely with local business partners, IT and the global engineering organization to provide customer oriented telematics solutions for DTNA vehicles. Utilizing global resources, we develop market leading solutions that bring connectivity, efficiency and transparency to our customers. 


Responsibilities 
- Lead telematics platform design and development for Trucks NAFTA by working closely with global telematics and connectivity colleagues

- Lead development of connectivity solutions for vehicle to backend communication, antennas and application platforms for current and future vehicle generations

- Work closely with customers (internal and external) to define telematics hardware and software requirements and features

- Assure that telematics systems are tested to meet function, performance, reliability, and durability requirements

- Maintain familiarity with state of the art telematics systems and customer benchmarking to support definition of DTNA's telematics roadmap

- Lead proof of concept development for future telematics features by developing hardware and/or software solutions

- Lead medium to large system development projects

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related from an accredited college/university and 6+ years of related experience OR Masters degree with 4+ years of related experience required

- An attached resume is required 

- Design and development of embedded vehicle systems required

- Specification development using DOORS or equivalent required

- Automotive networking using CANalyzer/CANoe required

Preferred Qualifications
- Programming using C and C++ or Java preferred

- Cloud infrastructure development using Microsoft Azure preferred
