Job Responsibilities:

· Develop and implement Harman own voice processing algorithms that enhances voice signal quality. · Take ownership of legacy voice algorithms improvement and tuning. · Keep track of the latest voice technological innovations and developments and work closely with voice algorithm partner. · Work with algorithm author to verify and validate voice algorithm at PC level and embedded device level. · Closely interact with Category Product Managers and cross-divisional peers (CoC, Automotive, Pro, CTG groups) to identify new ways to enhance voice or improve voice performance. · Proactively communicate with 3rd party lab like Google GVA, Amazon AVS, Microsoft Cortana to identify test requirement and test specification in order to set up similar test lab. · Complete product’s test and acoustic gating for voice recognition and voice call performance · Qualify new algorithm from 3rd party and identify feasibility for new algorithm phase-in.

Basic Qualifications:

· Master degree in Digital Signal Processing, Math, Acoustics, Voice or other related major · 5+ years’ experience in developing voice algorithms and proven record. · Strong working knowledge of acoustics telecommunications, including various types of microphone systems, speaker systems, wideband telecommunications, voice recognition and recording technology. · Familiarity with telecommunication test specification like TIA810, TIA920, 3GPP, Skype etc. · Strong voice signal module development background. Like AEC, ANC, Leveler, beam-forming, EQ. · Must be proficient in Matlab coding, C++ programing capability is preferred. · Must be familiar with acoustic lab equipment such as Soundtrack, Artificial mouth, Speaker, B&K reference microphone, Microphone Pre-amplifier etc · Rich experience on audio tools like AudioMulch, Audition, Soundtrack etc. · Good software and hardware hands-on competency. · Must be a self-starter who can take initiative and drive to successful conclusion · Fluent Spoken English, Professional read and written English skill
