Responsibilities:

New Capital Projects and existing sites
? Co-responsible, with the One Honeywell APAC team for environmental aspects of new projects at existing PMT sites. Work closely with site HSE manager and relevant One Honeywell Area HSE Manager (AHM) to address impacts from new projects with existing sites.
? Coordinating as above, identify and assure implementation and compliance with all local applicable environmental laws, regulations and best practices into project design and operating systems.
? Coordinating as above, responsible for integrating requirements of new environmental laws and regulations into new projects and existing sites:
? Track status of government progress on environmental laws and regulations.
? Providing explanation of new requirements including identification of gaps in old versus new created by the change.
? HSE expert support on developing and implementing programs to incorporate new requirements, engineering design support for projects, audit or assessment against requirement.
? Coordinating as above, support environmental permitting, design, operating procedures development for new projects and existing sites.
? Coordinating as above, identify and raise management potential performance deficiencies of project, design, equipment, and operating strategy for resolution.

Integration of New Acquisitions
? Work as expert resource in supporting integration projects with establishment and maintenance of Honeywell PMT HSE Management System.
? Identify areas requiring further development of training for site HSE staff related to new acquisition and work with PMT HSE staff to implement training.
? Provide expert support for engineering design during new acquisition integration period to bring into compliance with local laws and regulation and company policies.
? Provide expertise / guidance in environmental regulations applicable to the respective plants and in specific requirements of plant operating permits.
? Provide coaching and professional development to all employees to maintain environmental compliance at the facility.
? Lead or participate in root cause investigations of incidents or near miss events with environmental implications. Drive completion of corrective actions.

Due Diligence
? Perform evaluation of potential acquisition targets and decommissioning for potential noncompliance of existing and upcoming environmental laws and regulations.
? Develop estimations of costs, resources and timing to bring existing noncompliance at potential target sites and new acquisition into compliance with applicable environmental laws and regulations and company policies.

Other
? Support health and safety functions in due diligence, integration and new projects. Opportunities to learn these functional areas will be provided as required.
? Support the evaluation of potential tolling manufacturers, critical suppliers and warehouses by conducting environmental, health and safety assessments.
? Maintain knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations relevant to environmental function. Actively incorporate that knowledge into PMT practices.
? Participate actively in efforts to continue to develop and mature the environmental culture across the company.
? In coordination with the One Honeywell APAC team, initiate, develop and execute projects and plans to address major incidents, environmental risk reduction and compliance projects.
? Review and evaluate environmental related deliverables from environmental consultants, engineering contractors and suppliers.

Basic Qualifications
? Engineering (chemical, mechanical), chemistry or environmental related degree.
? 10+ years of project, technical, production and/or engineering experience in chemical, petrochemical or manufacturing environment.
? Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Mandarin.
? Ability to travel (25 - 50 %) on short notice at times.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications (not required)
? Strong background in environmental function.
? Solid understanding of environmental laws, regulations and best practices.
? Experience in a multinational chemical company with a strong environmental program or management system.
? Demonstrated skills in risk based decision making, effectively coordinating environmental and business needs.
? Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; a team orientation, as well as the ability to deal effectively with personnel at all levels (executives, managers, and non-managerial), within and outside the organization.
? Experience with health and safety programs and management.
? Willingness to learn health and safety functions, chemical and toxicity hazards and other health, safety and environmental systems related to chemical operations.
? Ability to handle multiple and competing priorities.
? Experience in management of contractors and other technical resources a plus.
? Comfortable in a manufacturing environment.
