The Ethernet Product Group (EPG) Foundational NIC Customer Experience team is looking for a motivated CoSP/Telco Sr. Application Engineer. The individual will work closed with local and global partners for driving EPG products into CoSP/Telco market segment.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsibilities for the technical team lead for the CoSP and Telco customer-facing activities, including but not limited to:
• Familiarity with network adapters
• Gathering, understanding and refining of requirements
• Lead critical debug efforts
• Be an empowered decision maker
• Interface with and influence customers, OSVs, and other CoSP/Telco suppliers
• Communicate effectively across the spectrum from individual contributor to executive, for both internal and external partners
• Be on the cutting edge of understanding the current and future technologies in this space
• Train and mentor other members of the team
• Use engineering problem solving processes to lead logical, fruitful debug and root cause identification efforts.
• Occasionally work in task force mode and lead visible, cross-functional issue resolution efforts in response to a customer escalation.
• You need to have clear, appropriately leveled communication to a range of audiences spanning engineers, customers, standards bodies and ECS/EPG leadership.
• You'll be challenged to balance the urgency of customer issues and escalations with investments in customer feature requests. You must establish productive, collaborative relationships with peers and partners. Know their products, customers, what matters to them, and how your team fits in.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will have the following skills in addition to the qualifications listed below.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related field plus 6 years of industry work experience, or a Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related field plus 4 years of industry work experience,or PhD in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related field plus 2 years of industry work experience
• Working knowledge of PTP, SyncE, oRAN, vRAN, DPDK and other relevant technologies
• Experience with VMware, Linux, FreeBSD and 3rd party OSes
• Proven results orientation and great aptitude for problem-solving, direct and open communication.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven excellence in stakeholder management with a wide range of contributors: technical leads, manager peers, partner teams, and other organizations.
• Experience of working with/in CoSP/Telco or CoSP/Telco's 1st line suppliers.
• knowledge in designing communication networks
• Experience with Class 4/5 switching, Soft-switches
• Experience of LAN/WAN, ethernet adaptor HW Architecture, FW and Driver.
• Knowledgeable in Datacenter and Cloud infrastructures and operations, Virtualization, Cloud Computing, Networking, and Storage
• Experience of x86 platform architecture

Work Model for this Role

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
