What you will do for Siemens Smart Infrastructure: This position performs inspections, testing, and maintenance on fire sprinkler systems and other water-based systems in accordance with all national and local standards. Responsibilities: Provide inspection, testing, and service for wet, dry, pre-action and deluge fire sprinkler systems; backflow preventors; water tanks; fire hydrants; foam-based systems; water mist systems; and fire pumps per NFPA 25 standards. Complete required documentation including deficiency repair recommendations. Provide subject matter expertise to peers. Discuss noted deficiencies, remedies, and pricing with customers and follow up on corrective actions. Follow and maintain highly-structured inspection schedules. Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all tests performed. Generate reports within Siemens tools and upload to required city municipality websites. Perform service and deficiency repairs on all fire sprinkler system types. Complete service ticket documentation and inspection reports before leaving customer site. Provide instructions to customer personnel regarding proper operation and routine inspections; assist with training. Work overtime when needed. Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures. Complete required training and certifications within the time requirements for this role. Provide hands-on training and coaching to entry-level inspectors. Maintain vehicle stock, tools, and equipment.
