What you will do

As a senior IS project manager, he or she will play a pivotal role partnering with business counterparts to drive the digital transformation at Amgen China that has direct business impact – improved customer engagement result, employee productivity gain, revenue growth, and better business insights etc. The main focus is technology delivery that meet/exceed customer’s need and business outcomes. He or she will also plan/execute the project budget in a rational and effective way to maximum the value of investment. At the same time, the compliance and regulator abidance are valuable consideration during project carrying out.

A senior IS project manager must be able to form a strong relationship with key project stakeholders, try to be involved deeply of business decision making process, to enlarge the influence of IS project team. He or she should pro-actively manage the expectation of senior managers before and during the project phase.   

This position will also help to build the project delivery team, including delivery direct reports; external contract workers; 3rd party consultants and other related project resources. He or she will coach and lead the team on critical and challenging projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead flagship digital innovation projects to archive business goal with P&L influence, combining complex work streams and technologies.
• Act as the point of contact technology leader representing all IS functions, and internally connect, collaborate and align with other IS functions and product owners.
• Manage dedicated IS project members like BA/UX and developers, including work assignment, scheduling and training
• Work very closely with business stakeholders on the project to get insights of requirement and feedback to continuously improve IS product design.
• Establish and/or oversee the establishment and execution of project plans, risk management plans, and other project governance processes and procedures
• Plan/ execute project budgetary responsibility for initiatives.
• Participates in the planning, directing and coordinating activities pertaining to projects. Communicate with the senior level management team to best approach the project goal and expectation,
• Determine how to adopt trendspotting techniques to best fit for business specified goals, no more no less.
• Drive the internal IS change in both mindset and process to embrace the new coming innovations and influence the business functions the same.
• Pilot and build digital business product platform to refine the best practice from MVPs.

• Have minimum 12 years of working experience. 
• Hold experiences working on commercial technology projects in pharmaceutical industry or healthcare related consultancy.
• Proven record on leading Agile product development with close business partnership
• Have capability and good track records on driving the enterprise level digital transformation projects.
• Have hands on people management experience include both direct report and external contract workers.
• Demonstrate ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration, including leadership in guiding customers and colleagues in rationalizing and deploying emerging technology for business use cases
• Demonstrate excellent, context-specific and adaptive communication and presentation skills across a variety of audiences and situations; established habit of proactive thinking and behavior and the desire and ability to self-start/learn and apply new technologies
• Strongly preferred: CRM especially Veeva and SFDC
• Strongly preferred: Digital (WeChat, live streaming, digital campaign)
• Strongly preferred: Agile/Scrum experience and certification
