Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION: The purpose of this position is to mentor the departments and product lines and assist with the full deployment of the Continuous Improvement. The successful implementation of these tools will enable the plant to achieve the quality, financial, customer, and delivery targets ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Facilitating A3 problem solving Leading Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs) Advancing the Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) Designing future state value streams Developing manufacturing strategy and supporting manufacturing Contribute in the advancement of the organization in the Eaton Business System (ELSS V4.1 and OpA 2.1 Assessment Process. Adhere to the budget of the Engineering department. Develops strategic plan for the plant to exceed OpA/ELSS requirements. Coordinator, and other ELSS and CIF Champions to sustain needed deployment levels at the Plant. Attains Plant Cost Out goals as established by Profit plan (BSC metric). Supports sharing of best practices as result of internal and external benchmarking activities Implements, promotes and maintains a safe work environment by implementing a culture of accidents prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and application of rules. Identify, control and administer risk and danger in own area. Promotes the company’s mission and vision by actively supporting Eaton’s ethics and values as well as quality policies. Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results. Take of times and movements and standardize operations Calculation and responsible to control optimal capacities of production lines. Evaluation and modification of lay outs of production lines. Verification of manufacturing processes. Lead and update (if apply) databases that demonstrate the optimal routes of the product, production times, assignment of main and alternate machines, take out the number of operators needed to perform the different parts, compliance time in batches, time available for programming operations or of preventive maintenance and statistical analysis. Retro feed the RPM systems (MFG Pro) with the information updated and analyzed. Work with multidisciplinary groups to implement Lean Manufacturing. Elaboration and updating of flowcharts. Maintain & improve current manufacturing processes to produce parts to specification Actively participate in business review process including corrective actions to make an immediate impact to business results Responsible of welding operations and conduct internal assessment on annual basis using the AIAG WSA Reduce high-risk priority numbers in manufacturing PFMEA’s. Lead cross-functional teams to make process improvements. Plans and deploys training to support Continuous Improvement Coordinators, TPM Coordinator, OEE Coordinator, and other ELSS and CIF Champions to sustain needed deployment levels at the Plant. Trains Kaizen team leaders to facilitate events. Coordinates and drives a structured closure process on follow-up activities. Manages and coordinates human resources to achieve the master schedule preventive, predictive maintenance and manage corrective maintenance Qualifications SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Industrial Engineering degree or related fields required. (Quality, Statistics, preferred) English – language capability, speaking, reading and writing required. 3 years’ experience in lean manufacturing environment. Six Sigma Black belt or Greenbelt Knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools Solid knowledge of engineering techniques & manufacturing processes Through knowledge of statistics & statistical process control, including gauge repeatability & reproducibility studies Knowledge of the manufacturing process and basic machine tool concepts. Knowledge of behavioral science, including the ability to motivate, counsel, and constructively deal with people at all levels. Strong leadership skills, must be capable of leading their organization on a continuous journey of sustained improvement Work under the guidelines, policies and process of Eaton's Philosophy, IATF 16949 and ISO 14000 Environmental ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Must be active in lifelong learning. Actively increasing knowledge in Lean Manufacturing principles and deployment of them in both manufacturing and office settings.
