The Business Financing Solutions (BFS) team is responsible for building PayPal’s Working Capital and Business Loan products that have already originated more than $7 Billion in funding to almost 100,000 businesses. We call it “Dream Fuel”. BFS products give businesses access to the capital they need, but faster and easier than traditional loans. A Sr. Java Engineer to build and architect the test approach for an entire product line at PayPal. You will be embedded in an agile development team responsible for automating all aspects of the build, test and release process. You will review requirements, use cases, user stories, and functional specifications to provide feedback and work with other Engineers to create a robust test automation plan for major releases. You will build, maintain, and improve a test automation framework that ensures successful iterative development, system testing, regression testing, and post-production acceptance.

A successful individual will have experience with or have understanding of the following:

  • 4+ years of Java development experience with a focus on Software Test Automation
  • 4+ years of experience developing a Java API test automation solution using a known framework such as JUnit or TestNG
  • Full project testing lifecycle experience including requirements analysis, test planning, test creation, manual testing, automated test development, ci/cd configuration and execution
  • Expertise in
  • Implementing high level test practices in long-term agile project scenarios
  • RESTful web service functional and regression testing in black, grey and white box situations
  • Implementation and configuration of CI/CD builds using Jenkins or Teamcity
  • Using REST Assured, Swagger and Postman for testing, test development and debugging purposes
  • Version control using Git

** Financial systems background is a plus
