Eaton’s Residential and Wiring Devises Group is seeking a Sr. Machinist. This position is based at our Moon Township, PA. Position Overview: This position will also support cost out projects as needed. Incumbents will fabricate prototypes for engineering evaluations and will assist with industrialization engineering needs. In this function you will: Ability to set up and perform manual machining of parts or fixtures. Thorough understanding of CAD/CAM programming for the purposes of fabrication. Including but not limited to calculating and setting controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, tool change requirements, depth and angle of cut. Build fixtures to support parts needing modification, forming or assembly. Support part design & fabrication by working with engineering closely to improve manufacturability of parts Sheet metal fabrication knowledge Basic knowledge of materials used in fabricating parts or fixtures (ferrous & non-ferrous) Performs part checks/inspection of finished work-piece to specifications, using measuring and inspection tools Perform prestart checks and assist with minor equipment maintenance Shares knowledge with other machinists as necessary to improve machinist pool’s core knowledge and capabilities. Execute 100% of monthly safety inspection, in coordination with the M.E.S.H. Management of Environment, Safety, Security, and Health Policies. Complete all EHS Environment, Health, and Safety training assigned Participate in M.E.S.H element around machine guarding and safety. Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: High school diploma or GED Technical degree, Journeyman Card or documented certification from accredited institute around specific training in the area of Tool and Die/Model Making/Machining Three (3) years of experience in machine shop or prototyping lab creating parts, models, assemblies, and fixtures No relocation assistance is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Moon Township, PA will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
