What You Will Do:
The role of the Corporate Infrastructure & Security Center of Excellence (CIS COE) Bangalore Sr. Manager will provide senior leadership to all CIS colleagues in Bangalore, ensuring a consistent culture and tight alignment to the priorities under the vision of the VP, Chief Information Security Officer and at the direction of the Senior Manager, Secure Culture & Communications. The CIS COE Bangalore Sr. Manager will not only responsible for the success of the CIS leaders in Bangalore, but all CIS team members, emphasizing the CIS directive of a positive culture, security-mindedness, and efficient processes. This person must enable a consistent and positive vision, alignment of priorities, and focus all colleagues on security and resilience.
This role reports to the Senior Manager of Secure Culture & Communications (who reports directly into the VP, Chief Information Security Officer), will co-report to the IT COE Bangalore Sr. Director, and will have direct oversight of all CIS colleagues within India.
Key Responsibilities:
Cultural Responsibilities
 

  • Mentor, coach, and develop people managers and individual contributors
  • Partner closely with HR to ensure there is a heightened focus on recruitment, onboarding, and retention.
  • Recruit and develop a diverse set of individuals with a focus on driving positive culture, critical thinking, and execution of key CIS priorities.
  • Take an active role in supporting or leading company Employee Resource Groups (ERGs)
  • Drive adoption of the CIS culture and own the the initiation of local CIS events, opportunities, and initiatives.
  • Support the proliferation of the CIS message to India leadership and colleagues through intentional messaging and presentations
  • Continuously seek feedback and nurture cross-functional and cross-cultural relationships to strengthen CIS’ presence in India.
 
 
Leadership Responsibilities
  • Establish close partnership with global CIS leaders to ensure a strong understanding of the value CIS brings to the company
  • Coordinate major project efforts across the APAC region and remove barriers of execution.
  • Apply continuous learning and improvement to remove barriers to the team’s success.
  • Work closely with key business partners to increase awareness of risk to mitigate potential of security risks to the business.
  • Put an emphasis on Practical Process Improvement (PPI) through the development of KPIs and continuous improvement efforts to increase CIS customer allegiance, quality, and productivity.
  • Drive alignment with core business processes by partnering with US counterparts on Quarterly Business Review (QBR) development, alignment on the PMD process, etc.
Bangalore COE Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary CIS leader in Bangalore.
  • Actively participate on the Sr. Director Bangalore’s leadership team as the CIS representative.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with all DE, ETO, CSI, and other IT functions supporting their India-based operations.
  • Provide feedback from business partners (directly and indirectly) to CIS organization and teams.
Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Strong management skills, including experience managing people in complex environments.
  • Experience building consensus and alignment across a global company, including with senior leadership, peers, your team, and matrix management.
  • Knowledge in recruiting, hiring, and retaining talent in India.
  • Well respected by peers, subordinates, and leadership.
  • Outstanding intercultural awareness of the challenges associated with international business and the ability to foster positive intercultural relationships
  • Highly motivated with a high level of initiative and collaborative and willing outlook.
  • Ability to communicate and manage in a matrix organization remotely
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strategic problem solver; ability to communicate the vison and structure of the program in alignment regional cultural principles.
  • Self-starter; organized; detail-oriented; motivated to set personal and program goals and proactively track performance against goals and initiatives.
  • Strong project and relationship management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively
