Position Overview & Responsibilities The Senior Manager position reports directly to the SR Director of Materials, Inventory Planning Team The SR. Manager leads DX Material Planning & the Updates Logistics team within the Inventory Planning team. DX Buying/Planning Team consisting of 6 Material Planners. Updates Logistics team consists of 2 Material Planners. These teams interact on a daily basis with several different groups of contacts, including Business Areas/Line (SCM),CS LD , CS POC , Regional Units, internal and external customers and suppliers. The Sr. Manager is responsible for delivery performance and asset management for service parts for all DX Business Units. Insure teams have the resources to do their job, provide direction, guidance and support to so they are able to accomplish their goals. Weekly dialogue with DX Factory sites and key suppliers. Establishment of regular process improvement to further strengthen quality and competitive offerings. Interface with several cross functional groups including but not limited to transportation, network, RHQ Procurement and Finance, and 3PL. Drive team achievement of Global Targets as well as Business Units targets including delivery performance, asset management and inventory turns. Participate in annual budget discussions for LD and POC Participate in both internal and external projects for SI&RS Department. Escalation point for customer concerns regarding inventory availability. Coordinate/Lead Regional Unit inventory return initiatives. Closely interface with CS SLM teams for LD and POC business Coordinate/Lead Business reviews with LD/POC with focus on continuous improvement Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience • Excellent presentation and communication skills • Demonstrated knowledge of MS Power point, Excel, PowerBI, Qlikview (reporting tools a plus) • Strong project management experience • Proven history of delivering performance and financial goals • Direct experience with ERP systems and managing • Capability to present to large and divergent groups • Experience with SAP ERP, SD MM or WMS Bachelors Degree BA/BS Required. *JOB LOCATION: 1-2 Days a Week in Office CARY NC & Remaining Time REMOTE***** Job Family Responsibilities: Manages the flow of materials, equipment, goods, supplies, etc., from suppliers. Reviews and plans requirements for purchasing most complex materials. Leads contract negotiations for goods, services, suppliers, equipment related to materials, transportation and storage; monitors contractual obligations for compliance. Evaluates vendor performance. Manages aspects of the materials planning function and inventory to ensure that organizational goals are met. Education: BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification would be a plus. Knowledge and Experience: Demonstrates and applies advanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures for area managed and basic knowledge of other areas in the company and how they interact. Demonstrates understanding and application of management approaches for work direction, motivation, performance management, and disciplinary action. Typically 8+ years of successful experience in a directly related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Direction of Others: Typically manages multiple levels of exempt employees and/or supervisors. Key Working Relationships: Frequent inter-organizational and external contacts..
