Environmental, Health and Safety Manager Develop and maintain a comprehensive written environmental, health & safety program, tools, and materials for four AbbVie campuses. Partner with HR/ER and Legal to develop and implement EHS policies, procedures and standards. Support Corporate EHS programs and initiatives, including EHS metrics reporting, audits and sustainability goals. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and work with Management teams and business units to identify and manage risks. Manage regulatory agency compliance Manage the process for reporting, investigating and communicating accidents, hazards and concerns. Lead the Crisis Action team (CAT) and support sites with emergency response preparation, including training and drills. Develop and implement training for all personnel to assure understanding of environmental health and safety programs. Establish and maintain waste minimization/source reduction program aligned with corporate Sustainability initiatives. Communicate effectively to all levels, from floor to corporate executives, the progress and trends towards achieving excellence in EHS compliance. Business Continuity (BC) Responsibilities Acting BC Coordinator to our Crisis Action-Team Assist with updating all BC documents for all sites Work closely with Abbvie Global Security Initiatives regarding Business Continuity Plans Site Security Manager Managing different site security vendors (security integrator, contract security team), Conduct and coordinates (with Global Security and other stakeholders) risk mitigation efforts aimed at reducing the risk from theft, counterfeit, diversion, threats, employee misconduct/malicious acts, and the misappropriation of Intellectual Property. Addressing security or safety issues (Ranging from abiding by COVID-19 safety protocols, workplace violence, theft, etc.) Lead efforts to ensure security measures and programs are current and well defined Provide training to workforce to ensure security practices are understood consistently applied. Meeting deadlines/goals for security projects driven by corporate. Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Industrial Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology or related field preferred. 10 years experience administering safety programs and security preferably in a medical device, pharmaceutical or high-tech environment. CSP or CIH preferred. Essential Skills, Experience, and Competencies (includes Licenses, Credentials) A strong knowledge of CalOSHA, EPA, laws & regulations including: Biosafety & Bloodborne Pathogens, Laboratory Safety, Hazard Communication, Hazardous Energy (LOTO), Machine Guarding, Contractor Safety Management, Ergonomics, Electrical Safety, Powered Industrial Trucks. Certification in First Aid/CPR/AED and HAZWOPER is a plus Excellent written and verbal communication skills, people skills, and an ability to work under pressure within deadlines are required. Ability to work in a team environment. Strong organization, recordkeeping, and presentation skills a must. Must able to work seamlessly across business units and navigate complex organizational Previous experience managing vendors, preparing budgets and capital plans. Knowledge of equipment, security access systems and controls, and building automation maintenance. Technical disciplines in Plant Operations, HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings and technical manuals. Ability to prepare operating budgets and capital plans.
