How will you make an impact? (Objective)
This position will provide critical Finance support to Mexico management team and LatAm Shared Service in Brazil:

What will you do? (Responsibilities)

• Responsible to lead a team of 5 direct reports and 1 dotted line;
• Direct responsible to reach AR and DSO performance in Mexico, through very effective management of credit analysis, collection, and cash application;
• Keep direct contact with main customers (at our office, customer site or call), to evaluate payment capability, negotiate payment plans and credit;
• Support Costa Rica Shared Service in the collection activities for customers located in Mexico and Central America;
• Legal Representation of Mexican Legal Entities;
• Legal Representation IRS (SAT), representing the company before the government for any fiscal, import, export, social benefits matter;
• Legal Representation of Banks for payment approvals together with Brazil Shared Service Leaders and checks certification;
• Responsible to explain ongoing projects, improving margins and understanding of financial reporting on business performance and financial goals to the leaders in the country;
• Challenge current ways of working, driving efficiencies and cost savings wherever possible, be comfortable dealing with and working through issues and operational challenges with project teams and other stakeholders, getting into details to ensure teams understand the cost drivers of the business and can provide insight to the non-finance members;
• Involve with different teams to be able to execute properly big deals (over $100k USD), this includes kick-off meetings and follow up meetings. Provide effective procedures, or initiate change, to ensure key operational, commercial and financial targets are delivered;
• Support teams in IT CoE and manage one person on-site in Tijuana for day to day operations;
• Connect commercial teams with our financial partner (DLL) approved by Thermo Fisher Financial Services to offer leasing options, these includes visits to customers and present the options with the commercial teams;
• Support LatAm shared service team for everything they need for the Financial and Internal audit;
• Support for all teams in the shared service in Brazil, making sure they have the information they need locally and be sure to pressure locally to get the information of for proper execution;
• FP&A support to one group/division in LatAm:
  • Developing annual budgets and forecasts;
  • Assure timely and accurate financial information, reports and analysis;
  • Presenting and explaining monthly business results and variances to the commercial team and Regional structure through development and preparation of management reporting packages;
  • Business Support in the development and implementation of strategic and commercial plans;
  • Assisting accounting team in many ERP systems and assuring compliance with external reporting requirements;
     

How will you get here?

• Education: University Degree in Business, Accounting, Economics or Finance required, MBA or advanced degree in Finance preferred.
• Fluent in English / Portuguese desirable;
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills for interacting with business partners and senior management;
• Strong leadership skills;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving background;
• Results-oriented;
• Excellent Knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint applications are needed;
