What You Will Be A Part Of:
As a leader of the Information Technology team, assist in the development and execution of the Information Technology (IT) strategy and support operations. The focus of the role is to continually explore opportunities for greater efficiencies through process improvements, standardized utilization, increased user adoption and satisfaction, and robust data integrity and compliance that meets or exceeds the expectations of ThermoFisher’ s Quality Standards. These efficiencies may occur in the form of global business process design, governance, strategic short term and long-term planning, future state roadmaps, M&A assessments, integrations, enhancements with continued compliance through change management. This role may be dedicated to a single global Quality application or may require cross functional oversight and touch many global quality systems as determined necessary by global IT leadership team.
What You Will Do:
- Strong leadership capabilities and takes an ownership role in the management, delivery, governance and the applied utilization of global quality applications
- Must possess the ability to understand Global Quality Standards and ensure compliance
- Able to develop and foster a global presence by maintaining healthy relationships with the Quality team delegates at all sites in the network
- Ability to perform strategic planning, develop future state roadmaps, and assess impact of integrations through M&A activities
- Have a detailed understanding of the applicable business process and the global applications that support it
- Actively participate; Listen, Investigate, Plan, Do, Check and Act to maintain healthy, efficient processes
- Ability to assess, control and facilitate change
- Ability to work directly with the global business users to collect business requirements, define new or existing business processes and to translate those into user requirements.

- Ability to lead global, cross functional teams as required
- Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with applicable vendors and manage services, support and/or licenses as required
- Ability to perform with limited supervision

- Actively promotes best practices and challenge requests for custom process
- Ability to manage other personnel, whether they are in-house permanent, temporary associates or consultants
- Maintains knowledge of latest technology and business trends via attendance in outside seminars, defined training plans, and reviewing best practice literature and related materials.
- In conjunction with SME’s, Quality Assurance, IT, CS Validation and Training ensure overall application compliance as a GxP application.
- Manage assignments that are broad in nature, usually requiring originality and ingenuity.Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Has latitude for un-reviewed actions and decisions.

Job Scope: Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals.
Supervision: Manages a team of four additional TrackWise Team Members and other consultant resources as required.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred but not required, IT, Engineering, or Life Science related field is required;
How You Will Get Here: Minimum 7-10 years of experience working in IT with 3-5 years of experience in a management role.
- 3-5 years of experience in information technology for a life science, regulated businesses is preferred.
- Experience providing leadership in a matrix environment preferred
- Experience managing applications and business process on a global scale is preferred
- Experience with a full scale implementation and life cycle management of a GxP application
- Skilled in writing requirement documents, reviewing technical specifications with detail explanations of completed design.
- Experience developing communication and training plans on a large scale with multiple sites
- Experience with computerized systems validation, GxP assessments, and/or change management.
Equivalency: Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.
Competencies: Working knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry preferred. Knowledge of quality systems, operational excellence and/or process improvement systems preferred. Current knowledge of IT industry trends. Ability to maintain industry-leading subject matter expertise (SME) in the field of IT. Ability to translate business needs into solutions. Genera knowledge of end user computing and networking systems. Superior customer service and communication skills required. Some organizational change management capability. Ability to manage projects and initiatives. Strong business unit consulting skills. Ability to travel globally as needed but no more than 30% on average.
Physical Requirements: Position requires ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about office locations; ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch periodically for prolonged periods of time; manipulation (lift, carry, move) of light to medium weights of 10-35 pounds; arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp and type for prolonged periods of time; visual acuity to use a keyboard, computer monitor, operate equipment, and read materials for prolonged periods of time; ability to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear for prolonged periods of time.
