What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will manage the people, processes and technology responsible for Amgen's vulnerability management and penetration testing programs.
- Lead strategy development, quality control, compliance, and continuous improvement of Amgen’s Global Vulnerability Management and Penetration Testing teams
- Delivers transparency reporting on critical vulnerabilities and exploits to the CIO, CISO, partners, and senior business leadership
- Define and run bug bounty programs
- Works closely with service providers on external engagements and manages global staff
- Partners with security architect to make strategic choices on technologies and processes
- Collaborates diligently with global functional teams to help detect and mitigate cyber threats, vulnerabilities targeting Amgen’s assets and resources
- Analyzes business needs, uses automation and technology, and develops relevant transparency reporting to senior leadership, key partners and senior business leaders
- Acts as an escalation point for system related technical issues and get engaged as needed in critical system related issues/events
- Uses leadership and management experience to guide project planning, resource allocation, troubleshooting and resolution of complex issues
- Coaches, mentors and develops a diverse team of IS security analysts and engineers, including overseeing new employee onboarding and providing career development planning and opportunities
- Maintain employee work schedules including assignments, job rotation, training, vacations and paid time off, telecommuting, cover for absenteeism, and overtime scheduling

- 3 or more years managing security teams in a high-paced global environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Passionate, collaborative and team orientated placing priority on the successful completion of team goals
- Excellent data-driven problem solving and analytical skills and proven experience within high performance global, virtual teams
- Skilled in persuasion and negotiation of critical issues
- Clear understanding of and ability to manage cognitive biases
- Attention to detail and focus on providing vetted information
- Constantly updated with current information security trends and topics
- Successful management of multiple priorities
- Must be highly motivated and able to work effectively under minimal supervision
- Experience with regulated systems (GxP, SOX) in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare industry is a plus
- Preferred Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, GSEC
