This position is located in our St. Louis, MO site supporting our Biologics API group.
How will you make an impact?
In this key role, you will oversee multiple senior process validation engineers and their supporting junior process validation engineers. These engineers support the execution of multiple product commercialization validation programs annually. The manager's unwavering first priority is the safety of him/herself, the team members, and the site. The manager will provide daily supervision, technical advice, project planning support, customer interface, and regulatory inspection support.

How will you make an impact?
In this key role, you will oversee multiple senior process validation engineers and their supporting junior process validation engineers. These engineers support the execution of multiple product commercialization validation programs annually. The manager's unwavering first priority is the safety of him/herself, the team members, and the site. The manager will provide daily supervision, technical advice, project planning support, customer interface, and regulatory inspection support.
What will you do?
- Create and sustain a safety mindset/ culture in yourself and your employees
- Create and sustain a process validation team that provides error-proof delivery of high-caliber process validation documents and activities in adherence to established timelines
- Will be responsible for decision making for all escalations at the site, process validation SME.
- Will have responsibility for matrixed geographical world sub-region and serve as the leader and subject matter expert on process validation work, work with clients and prospective clients that partner with our organization to contract manufacture products.
- Ensure industry-leading customer service to our clientele, directly and through staff
- Create and sustain an environment and mindset conducive to continuous improvement and drive continuous improvement within the organization.
- Provide coaching and feedback to employees in relation to annual objectives and company values on an established cadence
- Perform formal mid-year and end-of-year performance reviews, as well as annual career counseling and creation of associated development plans for employees.
How will you get here?
- 12 plus years of industry experience, including direct experience with process validation in the biologics industry
- 8 plus years of commercial GMP experience,
- 6+ years of management/ supervisory roles
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Ability to travel as required
- Experience in defending execution and approaches, policies and procedures, in regulatory inspections is required.
- Green belt certification (or higher) is preferred.
