We are looking for a Sr. Segment Marketing Manager to join our automotive global marketing team and be responsible for China region.
Reporting to Director of Automotive Segment Marketing, you will work closely with the regional sales and Field Application Engineers (FAEs), global automotive marketing, product management, automotive ecosystem, business marketing and operations peers and teams.
The role includes executing the products’ go-to-market strategies, identifying and maintaining new and existing automotive customers, programs and market trends in China.
The role also owns the success of the products and solutions by developing creative and innovative marketing collateral, content and messaging. Successful candidates will have a passion and capability for taking the complex technical content and making it a compelling and competitive product value message.
You will provide marketing and technical content, promotions, and directions in support of product launches and new value-added feature initiatives, as well as create and deliver collateral, assets and sales tools.
You should be able to build and grow relationships with customer engineering and program manager champions, and internally with sales and FAE peers, as you will support pre-sales activities and be the marketing prime at customer meetings. In addition, you will attend and be a presenter in leading industry events and trade shows.
This role requires a savvy marketer with strong business and technical acumen.
This is a full-time job at Western Digital, Shanghai office in China.
Major Responsibilities:
- Track and prioritize opportunities, programs and design in & win funnels
- Work with sales, field application engineer, ecosystem, and corporate technical teams and peers on identifying trends, and managing programs and opportunities
- For new opportunities and initiatives, prepare business plans and go-to-market strategies
- Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key partners and ecosystem
- Assisting in product launch and go-to-market activities for new products
- Generate and maintain high quality marketing collateral and update customers and peers with changes and updates
- Create market trend reports and customer and ecosystem meeting minutes
- Train distribution and customers with good technical and business sense
- Analyze and collect market surveys and analyst reports to identify trend changes and new opportunities for current and new product portfolio
- Attend and present in leading industry events and trade shows
Qualifications
- B.S. Degree in Electronics Engineering pr Computer Science with 5+ years working marketing experience or M.S. Degree with 3+ years working marketing experience. MBA is a plus
- At least 2 years working experience in the automotive market
- Successful history of working with automotive products and building customers relations
- Deep understanding memory product of NAND Flash, e.MMC, UFS and SSD
- Demonstrated ability to dive deep in understanding the product, business, and the competitive landscape
- A continuous learner, committed to learning and expanding business and technical knowledge
- Ability to work effectively within the global marketing team and complex multi-functional organization structure
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and persuasion skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (English)
- Must have Microsoft Office skills including effective presentation and excel abilities
- Willingness to travel domestically 1-2 weeks once a month and internationally 1-2 weeks a year
