Job Summary: Leads all aspects of the process and system support in the financial systems for the Record to Report (RTR) function of Eaton's Global Financial Services & Systems (GFSS). Is the system and process lead of RTR's General Ledger, Accounting, GL Reporting, Project Accounting, Fixed Asset Accounting including oversight of Intercompany COE team and Lease Accounting. Manages all processes required to produce the primary USGAAP books and secondary tax, statutory and other local books for all global locations. Manages all processes required to maintain the General Ledger, Projects Accounting and Fixed Asset Accounting and associated compliance in accordance with the relevant statutory and legal regulations and with Eaton's financial policies. Functions as lead support liaison to IT and outside suppliers to manage production support issues. Adheres to Eaton's manager of people (MOP) responsibilities, with varying number of direct reports. Responsible for small project implementation and large project guidance. Job Responsibilities: Maintains system controls to ensure compliance to laws and regulations including USGAAP, statutory/Local GAAP, IFRS, Sarbanes-Oxley(SOX) and Eaton financial policies. Leads RTR triage efforts providing business/functional support for RTR GL, Accounting, GL Reporting, Project Accounting, Fixed Asset Accounting, oversight of IC COE and related activities, ARCS functional administration and Lease Accounting. Also leads the global Internal Control process for the GFSS, ensuring compliance to our ICPO. Coordinates efforts with IT support, development and configuration teams on required changes, implementations, etc. related to break fixes that impact setups and configurations, FRICEW (Forms, Reports, Interfaces, Conversion and Enhancements work), custom objects and standard global processes and localizations. Supports efforts to review and enhance interface monitoring and error resolution efforts related to inbound and outbound global RTR interfaces to ensure timely transition of required information between various systems. Coordinate and leads the review and validation of proposed changes, enhancements, process improvements and site and legal entity changes evaluating the impacts on the global processes. Provides governance over vital system and process documentation by owning, controlling and coordinating updates and maintenance of configuration/BR100. Lead as SME for RTR processes. Provides business support to the Centers and Operations surrounding all RTR processes and systems. Leads the effort to build knowledge in Centers to own first and second level Customer Support related to day-to-day operations, interface management, process questions, etc. Provides audit and SOX support to the Centers and operations related to compliance and governance requirements. Supports the GFSS with the integration of new sites and services into the Centers. Leads the interaction of this activity with all sub-ledger teams within GFSS, including lease accounting. Supports and drives the RTR strategic direction as it relates to the GFSS future roadmap. Drives continuous improvement using LEAN and other EBS tools to improve system efficiency and effectiveness to lower Eaton's cost of Finance. Researches and evaluates new systems, software, functionality, benchmarks, best practices and customer survey results. Participates in Oracle, SAP and shared services conferences, training and application user groups. Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree. Master’s Degree preferred 15+ years of progressive finance/system and overall leadership experience. Expert-level role with comprehensive, deep experience across one or more fields of expertise. Solid understanding of US GAAP and Internal Controls. Experience in implementing systems/software. Solid understanding of Oracle and SAP financial systems. Excellent communication skills and ability to work through complex issues, provide solutions and deliver timely results. Conveys complex information, develops communication strategies, and persuades significantly diverse audiences. Reconciles multiple stakeholder perspectives to resolve conflicts.
