This position is for Polymer/Chems materials team in the GSC Assembly Test Sourcing/Assembly Materials organization. You will be responsible to develop and/or drive Supply Chain strategies and supplier process and product readiness in support of Intel's cost, quality, availability, technology, and environmental leadership expectations. This role encompasses all the core competencies expected of a supply chain engineer in assembly materials including, but not limited to: Partnering with various stakeholders including Technology Development (TD) groups, Factory/TD modules, Package Design teams, other GSC organizations (Fab Materials, Equipment procurement, etc.). Technology sourcing. Supplier project management. Supply chain risk mitigation. Supplier change control management. Supplier cost structure expertise. Supplier manufacturing process understanding. Supply Chain excursion management. Supplier PCS expertise. Supplier quality system expertise. Supplier and Intel system ramp readiness. Industry intelligence. Supplier selections. IP management and supplier collaborations. Problem-solving and issue resolution for Supply Chain issues. The Senior Materials Supply Chain Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to: Development of commodity and supplier sourcing strategies including alignment with key stakeholder organizations. Conducting detailed industry and competitor market intelligence for technical capabilities, cost benchmarking in support of sourcing strategy alignment and execution. Maintaining quality standards and systems at suppliers through the implementation of Intel's QOS+ system; defining material inspection metrology and methodology. Implementing plans and programs to optimize the supply chain wrt to cost control, process control, and product yield. Working with internal stakeholders to drive suppliers to deliver to technology development expectations, roadmap requirements, manufacturing capability expectations, and new technology/materials ramp readiness. Develop deep expertise in supplier manufacturing cost structure to drive structural cost reductions and value engineering programs. Utilize materials change control process to align, risk-assess, document, communicate and execute supplier changes. Drive continuous process and quality improvements. Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or any relevant Engineering degree.
3+ years of relevant experience in at least one of the following:
Supplier Qualification, Supplier Quality System audit, driving Supplier White Papers, and or problem-solving of Supplier quality issues.
Technical base in Materials and/or Chemical Engineering, with Statistical Data Analysis skills if possible.
Semiconductor industry especially fab backend or Packaging Assembly are preferred.
Implementing Strategic Leadership thru technical acumen.
Preferred qualifications:
A Master's or a Ph.D. holder is preferred.
Intel/Supplier management to integrate requirements, lead and close projects.
