The key role of the Merchandiser is to own production management from product concepts and briefs, development, price quotations and order- follow up until finished bulk production is shipped, ensuring best quality, price, lead-times and fit is achieved. This role will play a major part in aexecuting flexibility and speed to market plus implementing supplier and supply chain strategies

Responsibilities:

• Analyzing the requests (developments/quotation) to be sure that all details are clear and if not, revert to the head office

• Distributing developments/quotations to the best suitable suppliers according to the set strategy and market capability

• Collecting developments/quotation samples from suppliers and evaluating and selecting the best global deal together with the PD team

• Sending best options to buyers and review, comment and securing the handover process to the suppliers & buyers

• Update order overview, Manage Production and ETD schedules and Assure all shipping documents are correct and on time

• Seeking knowledge of production market capability, skills and capacity and conduct constant risk analysis on a product level

  
  

  Required skills;

• At least 3- 5 years working experience, handling Western European Apparel brands

• You have a solid knowledge of brand, concept & customers

• Bachelor degree preferable with a textile background

• Higher intelligence to handle sample & order follow up & documentation

• You have a good knowledge of production markets concerning price, quality, capacity, capabilities and lead time

• Excellent knowledge of costing and pricing

• Qualified in inquiring, sourcing and developing new sample and material

• Fluent in English is a MUST and good Mandarin;

• Good communication skills, organized, responsible & independent

• Strong fashion sense and interest in trends
