This position is tasked with working across the Corporate IT Shared Services and the Group/Division IT teams to drive portfolio and project management solutions. This role will support the agile transformation and continuous process improvement within the IT global teams and plays a critical role in driving efficiencies through the use of data driven metrics.
What will you do?
- Governance and Process:
- Supports the governance and portfolio management processes by analyzing aspects of the governance process and opportunities to streamline, from initial idea evaluation through project closure and the reporting on benefits realization.
- Assist with driving the transformation of the Global IT organization to more agile and lean processes
- Work in coordination with IT Resource Management and IT Group/Function Portfolio Delivery Portfolio Management teams enabling portfolio planning and prioritization across the enterprise
- Adapts portfolio and project management methodologies and tools for multiple approaches – Waterfall, Agile, SAFe, Lean, etc.
- Partners with IT Finance team to support IT Capex and Opex planning and budgeting process
- Streamlines processes in partnership with IT Group/Function Portfolio Delivery Teams to reduce administrative overhead and support their operational needs for reporting, process and tool administration.
- Portfolio Analytics & Reporting
- Helps maintain a view of the health of the IT Global Portfolio.
- Facilitate challenging/open honest conversations with leadership on the portfolio and specific projects.
- Drive analytics to support project prioritization, and link strategy to business outcomes to show value of IT.
- Enables self-service reporting that is easy to use, transparent and readily understood within multiple levels within the company.
- Leads the Portfolio Management and Operations Team
- Manages direct reports, including performance reviews, workload balancing, work assignments and time management.
- Responsible for developing, motivating staff members, providing guidance as appropriate.
- Performs other functions as assigned by Management.
How will you get here?
Education
- Bachelor degree in finance, project management, or business
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is required
- Certified SAFE Lean Portfolio Manager preferred
Experience
- 10+ years of program and process management experience
- Program management experience related to business transformation and financial processes within a large, global IT organization
- Proficient experience in Agile/Lean practices
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Strong familiarity with project management standards and methodologies
- Implementing PPM tools and driving change with specific experience in Planview Enterprise One/Lean Kit and JIRA
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and excellent documentation skills are a must
- Excellent customer service skills required
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, time management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to interact professionally with a diverse group: executives, managers, and subject matter experts
- Ability to influence in a matrixed and global IT organization
- Passion for driving improvement and leading change in a complex, large company
