Role description and opportunities

The role is responsible for contributing to the marketing strategy and execution in promotion of BNY Mellon’s Pershing business to growth-minded advisory firms in North America. As a trusted and leading service provider we help sophisticated registered investment advisory firms manage their businesses efficiently so they can serve their clients effectively. Our clients include some of the most successful advisory firms in the world, and they turn to us for the unmatched strength, high-touch service, comprehensive wealth management solutions and industry expertise that only BNY Mellon’s Pershing can provide.

The Senior Marketing Manager will join a team of marketers to communicate the end-to-end custodial, operational, trading and practice management support for investment managers, trust companies, wealth managers, family offices and turnkey asset management providers. The role requires a deep understanding of the business, client needs and the landscape across the evolving investments ecosystem, with the goal of increasing brand awareness, client acquisition, engagement and retention.

Key responsibilities include the following

Contribute to a marketing plan that tells a comprehensive story of the brand, products and services for the wealth and advisory segment its constituent sub-segments and execute on key initiatives whether leading or supporting

Support omni-channel content including but not limited to collateral, social media and podcast content, by-line articles, event invitations as well as speaker and presentation support for industry and hosted events, and nurture campaigns

Challenge the status quo by bringing new, bold marketing ideas that position the brand and wealth and advisory solutions and services to drive client acquisition, organic growth and client retention

Execute and optimize go-to-market strategies and marketing campaigns across key audiences; contribute and track related KPIs and associated budget

Effectively present ideas, plans, and rationale to internal stakeholders

Work closely with other marketing colleagues, communications and business leads to develop a marketing content calendar and package content for different audiences, channels and geographies

Strong partner that understands and embodies a culture of collaboration with all team members

Facilitate productive working relationships with events team, digital marketing team, design and other marketing colleagues on cross-functional team projects

Seek to improve processes and effectiveness of time spent, offer and implement solutions.

 


Qualifications

A successful candidate should ideally have these qualifications

Stellar marketing, communication and interpersonal skills at all levels of business

Proven ability to work effectively in a results-driven, team-oriented environment and ability to navigate and excel in a matrixed reporting environment

Strong work ethic and attention to detail

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with strong accountability, proactivity and urgency

Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and work experience required

12+ years of related experience in the securities or financial services industry is preferred

   

This role will be based in Jersey City, NJ.
