We are currently sourcing a Snr Manager Operational Excellence on a temporary contract/development assignment to join the Operations team. In this role you will support the Business Unit in the continued implementation of OPEX and driving sustainable improvements and efficiencies within the Business Unit through OPEX principles, systems and tools; helping train new employees in the Continuous improvement way of working; ensuring the business conducts regular problem-solving sessions with clear priorities and timely solutions; and helping refine standard work as process changes are made and put in place. The role will also develop business strategies to support LRP and efficiency opportunities for the BU. Does this interest you? If so, read on....... In this role, you will: • Work closely and interactively with tier 1, tier 2 and tier 3 leaders to coach them on their engagement with and usage of OPEX principles, systems (i.e., leading and developing people, meeting customer demand, and raising and solving problems), and tools • Identify systemic inhibitors to new process adoption and efficient execution and discuss with business leaders • Ensure the RCA system is healthy and reflects best practices • Support project budgeting and facilitate special skill acquisition needed for improvements • Be accountable for supporting post-transformation Sustainability Assessments, corrective action planning, and improvement execution until process changes are fully confirmed and embedded in the line activity and behaviors • Perform bench marking and best in practice assessments of pier companies. • Develop business plans that align with site strategy and drives business improvements / efficiencies. • Be responsible for gaining competency in a broad set of OPEX diagnostic and problem-solving tools • Evolve, develop and deliver on KPIs for the business unit Qualifications So, what education & experience do you need to succeed? You will have a relevant Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering or similiar Demonstrated continous improvement and OPEX mindset Green Belt certified (Black Belt preferred but not compulsory) Excellent communication skills Ability to use sound judgment to make effective decisions within appropriate timeframes Proven to be self-directed, self-motivated and ability to prioritise competing priorities So, are you ready now to be part of this ambitious Operations team?
