Job Description
Eaton’s eMobility division is currently seeking an NPI Planner-buyer to join our team. This position is based at our Tijuana facility. The NPI Planner-buyer is responsible for all aspects of material buying and planning in support of launches of new products and lines transfers. Getting new components successfully launched at the suppliers respecting cost, timing target, quality and capacity. Ensuring the products launched into manufacturing and customer locations are produced on a capable process, with the required quality expected by the customer and internal processes, within time and budget. Some activities related with the position will be: Managing material procurement according to BOM, to meet material due dates on manufacturing floor. Generating timing plans with the internal teams to then be discussed and shared with the customers related to NPI supply chain. APQP support (PROLaunch) - management of all related tasks Lead, integrate and deliver NPI Supply chain checklist per project (if applicable per family or part number) to transition project to Operations. Works cross-functionally to coordinate purchasing-planning activities with supply chain, manufacturing, planning and engineering to acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely matter. Integrate plan for every critical part for new products being introduced to the plant (PFEP) Support data input and integrity of new parts onto our SAP system (supply chain parameters). Ensures incoming material is properly routed to meet due dates. Inventory Management Strategies for NPI. May recommend cost savings proposals including make-versus-buy analysis or alternative sourcing. Manages purchase order or planning order changes (pull in, push out, cancel, etc). Works with Planning (Master Scheduler) to assure NPI's are scheduled in production plan, and follow up readiness and execution to meet project timelines #LI-MM3 Qualifications Required (Basic) Qualifications: Bachelor's degree 5 years of experience required. Preferred Qualifications: Proficient in SAP, MS Office skills, tools including MRP High energy Strong work ethic, adaptive Able to meet tight deadlines Assertive, teamwork We make what matters work.
